My child has attended Hiram Elementary school since K and she's now in 5th grade. I absolutely love the teachers, staff, and principal! they are all so nice and make you and your child feel like part of the family when you are there. The curriculum is far better than any of the other school systems I know other children attend...they keep your child advanced in all subjects. I am sad my daughter has to leave after this year and i'm praying her next school is just as inviting and on top of things.
This is the BEST school in Paulding County. Its teachers, staff and administration really care about what your children learn and how they learn it. They truly care about our children on an emotional level and I would recommend it to anyone. My son attended 2nd - 5th (06 - 10) and my daughter from K to currently 2nd (08 - 11). I love this school and its teachers!
We moved from Philadelphia were the school my children attended was literally the best school. S my comparison may be too hard. The principle, at Hiram really tried at the school but for 07-08 Hiram is getting a new one. Teachers were nice, friendly, and communicated. No real music program but the children sometimes participated in a PTA events but there are no sports. The rating I gave was generic like the school. Nothing outstanding and no real problems to complain about.
My daughter attented hiram elementary the 04-05 school year. She was in mrs.Morrison and ms.Craig's kindergarten. Any time there was an event or anything the i always felt very welcome. Morgan always had fun at school but learned. When school let out for the year she could read very well. Now in 1st grade she can read chapter books. Also i had an issue with one of the books that she brought home from the media center, mrs. Clemmons (the principle) listened to me and handled the situation very well. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful. We moved last year and now she attends another great school. The whole experience there i will never forget. Hiram elemmentary was the first stepping stone in my daughters education. It was great!
My daughter attended one of hiram elem 3rd grade classes last year. This was our first year in a georgia school. The teachers and all the staff were great. We are back in texas and my daughter still talks about the school and ms johnstone. Thanks for everything.
There is not enough nice things to say about Hiram Elementary. My daughter started kindergarden in 99 and has had nothing but wonderful experiences at Hiram. I have a son going into the 2nd grade there now and the love, attention, teaching and mentoring he gets and that my daughter got are outstanding!! I would not have wanted my children to attend any other school. The teachers and principal at this school are dedicated to your childs needs and academic growth. My children will have wonderful long lasting memories of their elementary education all due to Hiram Elementary and their staff making is such a wonderful place for children to be!!!
My son attended Kindergarten at Hiram Elementary, he had a WONDERFUL teacher, Ms. Morrison. She has been very helpful and responsive throughout the year, always being very positive and keeping in communication with me regarding my son's progress at school. My son has learned SO much this past year, and I know a lot of that is because of the wonderful teaching environment Ms. Morrison has provided for him. The school itself is a little old, but I know they've been fundraising all year to improve the playground for the children. The few times I've been there, there always seems to be plenty of supervision for the children, everything seems clean and neat, and there are lots of the children's artwork decorating the halls which gives it a colorful and happy feeling.
My daughter is in kindergardten this year 2004/2005 and I'm very happy with the school. Her teachers are very nice Ms. Nelson and Mrs. Mayfield. My child is very happy being there at hiram elementary. Everyone is very, very friendly. If you need help with anything just ask they will help you. And the staff in the main office are very nice and sweet. Thank you are a wonderful school. All the teachers are wonderful thanks teachers. My daughter comes home talking about what she did for the day at school. I haven't met the principal yet but I will as soon as possible.
My child attends Hiram Elementary School and I wanted to share my experience with other parents. I have never met a more respected and genuiune Teacher than Dr.Baker (2nd grade teacher). My son is in Dr.Baker's class and he has never been so adamant about going to school and doing his work. Not just doing his work but doing it neatly, correctly and in a timely manner. I have seen such a change in his perfomance and I do believe I owe it to Dr.Baker and his teaching style. I can only hope that when my child is promoted to the third grade that he can get a teacher that cares about his job as much as Dr.Baker. He is truly a gift to us all. Thank You Dr.Baker!
