Harmony Elementary School

My 3 children have gone to Harmony since they opened. I am moving to a different county to get away from these horrible schools in this county. My oldest now goes to Jasper Middle School and they are just as bad. We have had an issue with the assistant principal since day 1, and my son has went there for 4 years and she has made it her mission to make his life miserable. He has had ISS for silly things like singing in the bathroom or splashing soap while washing his hands. So, we cannot put up with this for 2 more years, we are selling our house and moving out of the county. Thanks Harmony for ruining my son's elementary school years.

My son is in first grade (Mrs. Hardin) and was struggling with Reading and Spelling. I am so grateful to his teachers! We had a meeting with them and they came up with a tailored program for him. They are truly compassionate!!

Overall we are very satisfied with Harmony. We had a difficult time this year however with our teacher/child relationship. While the situation was monitored by the principal and VPrin. there was never a positive outcome. My child ideally would have been placed in a different classroom when the issue was identified early on, however this was 'against policy'. Thus my son struggled in many ways due to a poor match between him and the teacher. Due to the circumstances, we have been assured that he will be 'taken care of' next year for second grade and this is reassuring. The open communication with the administration is outstanding.

The teachers at Harmony are absolutely wonderful! Over the past 2 years, my child has recieved far above an beyond attention from her teachers and I am extremely happy that my second child will be entering Harmony this year.

The communication at this school is wonderful. I am amazed by all that was accomplished during this first year as a school. The website, newsletters and email access keeps me very informed. Parent Portal has allowed me to keep in touch with my children's grades. As a parent I am impressed that safety is the foremost priority of this school. I am pleased that all three of my children will have the opportunity to attend most of their elementary years here.

Very poor communication between parents and school. Too many excuses for mistakes made by the school. We are pulling our children out.
