Our child just finished her 3rd year at this school. She had such a great experience that she was literally sad to leave. There were so many wonderful opportunities for her to get involved with and many positive roll models around her every day. The school goes out of their way to provide extra opportunities for the kids to enhance their education. The teachers and staff are great and so creative with their instruction and extra curricular activities. I have witnessed teacher come in early and stay late to make sure students received the support they needed. I have seen many teacher weekends dedicated to students activities. Teacher spend their own personal time to support groups and clubs. I believe this was their passion, not just their "jobs". I wish all schools and all students had this experience.

I moved from Gwinnett Schools to Jefferson not long ago. Jefferson was a huge improvement! There was so much more classroom space and teachers dedicated to their students. I can not say enough about my teachers: they are there to teach us everything we need to know, but provide a fun environment. We may not have as many clubs as other schools, but what we do have are clubs such as Habitat, Spirit, Band, Chorus, etc. The staff try to make Jefferson Middle School as school not to forget, with pep rallies for sporting events, CRCT, and spirit. I feel I have learned so much and grown up from going to this school. I thank the teachers so much, who really make this school as place to attend.

This school offers a lot of fun activities for the students to get involved in. Last years clubs were more fun oriented, and this years seems to be school oriented but still fun none the less. My children have been blessed to have some teachers that are top notch! Can't say enough good things about just how much my kids have learned here. The teachers here make school fun, which is a huge bonus for the middle years. My only concern with the school is the inconsistent handling of bullies. The new bullies in town are handled swiftly, while other kids are allowed to bully year after year?

I moved my daughter from Oconee County schools not knowing what to expect and it has been a great experience! The teachers are wonderful, accessible and supportive. Great programs, clubs and involvement. Progress reports are a great tool. I have no regrets about the move whatsoever!

JMS is a breath of fresh air after the elementary grades. The middle school teachers seem to really enjoy teaching and enjoy kids. My child tells me daily how the teachers make learning fun! The school also seems to understand that kids will be kids. I can t say enough good things about the 6th grade staff and the counselor. We are very pleased with this top notch group.

We love the middle school. The teachers are dedicated to the children. There are many of activities that are available for the students to participate in after school, including the habitat club, band, 4H, and many different sports. Jefferson City Schools are very innovative and dedicated to teaching excellance.

ugh. So dissapointed in this school. Lots of behaviour issues. Serious lack of parent/teacher communication. we chose Jefferson City schools because they got such high recommendations. We're now considering private schooling through the rest of the middle school years. Almost no extracurricular activities if your child is not athletic. So far, other than sporting events, the school has had dances. The band is just starting to get up and running.
