This place is just bad, Counselors bad teachers bad students bad. This place needs Jesus
I am only at this school for 6 months and i hate this school with a passion. A majority of teachers can't teach for their life and some are just rude and mean. The school is just gross to me. The lunch tables are never cleaned and the bathrooms are horrifying. Its a shame that the girls are so nasty. Also it's like the kids have no home training. During lunch, kids skip in the lunch line to get food and the teachers dont even do anything about it and when lunch is over, many students leave their trays on the tables for the janitors to clean. Also in most classes, students are off task and always talking and the teachers try to stop it but once again the students dont care. Also the school is super crowded and people are rude. Also with the uniform policy, students always find a way around the uniform and sometimes students dont even wear uniform and they get away with it. The only good thing this year is that the lunch is free even though its not all that good,
best in the county mundy"s mill high school. am proud of my school '
I currently go to this school and i am a 10th grader this was my first year at this school and i was greeted by everyone and the students are nice and the teachers are nice to but they dont care abvout your education during schoo. Afterschooll they will teach you good but during school hours they dont care. You have to wear uniform and they dont really care wat you wear thpough as long as you have on the unigforn shirt or the pants you are good. If you get into any fights, trouble, skipping you will automatically be given the maxium days like if you fight you get 10 days no matter what. I reccomend you not to go to this school but then do . The people here are nice they dont have bullies really most people mind their ow buisness most of the time but the teachers dont educate like they are suppose to.
Mundys Mill High school is an ok school. There are a few things that arent all that great at Mundys Mill such as the faculty, some teachers seem to not apply themselves as they should. Such as making excuses for themselves for not giving the students enough work so they can make the grade. Some teachers are also students themselves, they are working on degrees and doing after school activities such as coaching. Then they complain and make excuses just to make themselves feel better and less guilty of not fully conducting their job which is to EDUCATE. Some recently hired teachers are not as professional as they should be and do not set an authority in their classroom. I also feel that there has been a waste of money on the 3 flat screen plasma televisions I feel that it was an uneccessary purchase. Also, now that 2nd semester has came around for teachers and students, teachers feel as though they should buckle down and do what they should've been doing in 1st semester. Either way the teachers at Mundys Mill High school are still sorry and only care about receiving a pay check which barely pays.
I thought this school would be horrible after seeing and reading some things about it but it's actually not that bad. Being new to school I don't really know how it exactly operates but I must say that the students here are a lot more friendly than the ones I knew in New York. I didn't even have to worry about eating lunch by myself because people around me always talked to me. The teachers and their methods are very off to me and I rather my old teachers from New York who actually put their heart in their work. Still an okay school. The things I would change at this school is a majority of the teachers, uniform code, schedule times, and more realness. Teachers seem so fake to me here.
Love the communication they have with parents regarding grades, events and college courses recommendations
I'm a freshman at MMHS well now a 10th grader and in my year at MMHS I have learned some good things that I know I will use later on in life and some things I probably wont. Yes, I do think we deserve a little bit more freedom since we are becoming adults but, yet and still we have to earn it. MMHS has helped me become alot more responsible for my future and what I want in life as well as gave me an extra push. Like any other student at any school I've had me share of disagreements and have learned that that is life full of ups and downs. I love MMHS and I have to say that I think I haved learned many life morals and values and am getting the education that I need for a successful life style.
I'm gratified to see that our parents and students appreciate our school's efforts and understand the obstacles which we all must overcome together as a community. Go Tigers!
I am very please with the way Mundy's Mills HS are keeping us updated with the Seniors information with the phone calls in reference to the the finance aid sessions, along with Graduation and Senior activites. The principal and administrator staff is doing an outstanding job!!!!
Mundy's Mill is a great school. The administators are constantly updating us on colloges and scholorships. They recognize our students acheivements. They also enforce rules unlike other clayton county schools. The teachers I've had have shown me they care about me as well as my grade from the beginning. they have tutorial sessions during the week as well as on weekends. I would definately recommend Mundy's Mill High School. P.S- Go Juniors -2010- Whoo!!
I Mean im a 11th grader (2010 ON DECK) but MMHS is alright i mean i think we dont get enough freedom the adminstraitors are crazy all the time, thinking were going to to shoot the place up, and i say this because they make all the boys tuck in there shirts LAME but the teachers are REALLY cool u just have 2 apply yourself like any other school in order to get the grade u deserve
I recently graduated from Mundy's Mill High School Class of 2008. I really really enjoyed my years at MMHS. The teachers are really good and the atmosphere of the school is just warming. Mundy's Mill is a great place to send your child. At MMHS, we focus on the student and their education. There are a few kids who try and distract you from getting that education but you have to tune them out and stay focused. The memories I had at MMHS will last a lifetime. From the football games, to the basketball games, to the baseball and soccer games, and even the long speeches from Mr. Davis and Ms. Adams will be rememberd in me. MMHS is a school of excellence and sending your child here would raise their educational standards.
Mundy's Mill is a horrible school. The teachers are very lazy, and it is up to the students to motivate themselves. The counselors are doing poorly at their jobs, the students never recieve homework, and there are many gangs and drugs. If you are considering enrolling your child into this high school, please reconsider. But, it doesn't matter because we have lost accreditation anyways.
I think that clayton should have more discipline ... Meaning that we students have too much freedom.. We have a choice wether to come to school.. And that our parents and teacher seem not to care too much about our education
I love Mundy's Mills High School. Remember discipline starts at home parents. The Principal, faculty and counselors are very involved. It is really up to each student to choose the right destiny. Each student has a choice to make the decision to sink or swim. We can not total rely on the teachers, principal and counselors to provide everything our kids need to make it in life. My son has one more year at Mundy s Mills High and it has truly been a blessing to have him there with good guidance and mentors. Go Mill!
My daughter is a junior this year and I regret that I have to transfer her due to my job relocating. Mundy Mills is an excellent school.
This is my daughter's second year at the Mill. I was very concerned about putting her at any Clayton County School. Mundy's Mill has been ok. I am not impressed with most of the teachers. However, like in any school, she has had a few of really goood teachers. The principal, Mr. Smith is wonderful and Mr. Smith is always trying to make a difference. I am not impressed with any of the counselors. That's why I would suggest that if you do send your child to The Mill, just stay involved and make the teachers and staff accountable. It's not a bad school, but it's not my ideal school. They really need good teachers. A good school is when it does not matter what teacher you have, you know your child will be educated.
