Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

We moved to Georgia in June 2014 and chose this school based on extensive research. We believe we made the best decision for our family. We have children in first and fifth grade. They love their new school. The leadership team is engaged, sincere and focused. The teachers are extremely loving and caring. They have high expectations and our kids are working very hard, but developing sound learning and study skills. The entire school community has been very welcoming and we embrace the diversity here. This is a top quality school that is worth the investment. The faculty, staff and administration live up to their promises and live out their faith.

Can't wait to go back!!! How great is it when your child can't wait for school to start again?! She actually wanted to go back 2 weeks after summer break began! Looking forward to another amazing year of great teachers, involved parents, and encouraging and Godly staff!

All of my children graduated from NCCS and I can say I have not been one bit disappointed. They were prepared for college and life! I cannot say enough good things about the academics, athletics, and arts programs, which they were all involved in. The environment is so loving and the teachers care deeply for the students. I wouldn't trade anything for the experience we had. It was so worth the expense. And I could care less if the administration is called leadership or administration. They are a wonderful group of people who love The Lord and the kids. We were at NCCS for 15 years total and I will continue to tell everyone how wonderful the school is.

We are embarking on our 10th year at NCCS. It is HANDS DOWN the VERY BEST investment we could have EVER made or EVER WILL make for our 2 daughters. We are very involved and dedicated parents to NCCS. We back the school in ALL areas and we believe in it's mission 100% WHOLEHEARTEDLY. Proof is in results. Our results are clear and have been consistently clear for 10 years. Our daughters are surrounded daily by and amazing Administration and Staff who are invested in them and their best interest. Our daughters are incredibly intelligent, voluntarily involved in sports, they have a love of the Arts and they chase after Christ DAILY. They are loved and cared for each day by an amazing school filled with the FINEST Administration, Faculty and Staff who WE as parents partner with because of THE RESULTS! When we toured NCCS 10 years ago, we entered as family and we still are and we always will be. Period.

I agree with both of the last two reviews, both good and bad. I came to this site last week to see if anyone else, besides the people we already know of, felt the same way we did. This will be our son and daughters last year at North Cobb. We are pulling them out. Everything seems right and feels right in the beginning, but the longer you stay and the more you observe, you start seeing all the inadequacies, and things that just aren't right. Every time we have brought up an issue that needed attention, we were attacked personally. The other review about administration vs leadership, that part I have to say is so true, although we've never thought about it that way before. Then after reading that, last Sunday our Pastor was talking about how the word leadership was only used in the Bible 4 times, and 2 of those times it referred to the blind leading the blind. My husband and I looked at each other immediately, knowing we have done the right thing, and felt like I had to revisit this site and write a review. They have lied to us before on several occasions, and in the long term it's just not the right environment, not the right place, and it's sad because we really needed it to be.

My son transferred from public school this year and WOW! He is so happy, he feels safe, he says the kids are nice and the change we've seen in him is tremendous. He's truly striving to succeed and has found his place. He is behind and having to work harder to get caught up, but we are very pleased with the academics at NCCS and so disappointed to see what was lacking in the public school setting. The administration at NCCS is genuinely caring. During the snowstorm that kept so many kids at school till late or the next day, my repeated calls checking on him & giving staff our status on eventually picking him up were welcomed and never, ever a bother. I'm shocked at the earlier negative review which is obviously a spiteful grudge review. The lack of maturity in that review makes me doubt it was from a teacher. We LOVE North Cobb Christian School and I am nearly brought to tears when I drive up on campus and realize time & again that we are finally here and my son is safe & happy!

Read for yourself, many positive reviews written by teachers or students of teachers. NCC is INADEQUATE academically, Spiritually, and operates with no integrity. As stated erroneously by another review, SAT scores are NOT good or better than anywhere else. Take 30 seconds, compare "averages" + which people groups make up that average. College bound students will always be behind in math, need additional courses after graduation. Also erroneously stated "school is dedicated to parents who invest in education of their kids"? Haha! Interested in $investments$, nothing more! Not parents, not students! There is NO leadership or accountability here. The "administration" actually had to change their title to "leadership" not only to fool themselves but also YOU, into believing they're something they are not - leaders. They lie and mislead. Everything is smoke and mirrors, even promo video on the website. Those kids are not in chemistry, they've never even taken chemistry! Female students are allowed + encouraged to wear inappropriate dress. Often non-qualified people are hired simply because their spouse works there. Want to be nominated to honor society? Make sure your mom works there.

I love this school!!!! My kid have been going to North Cobb Christian School for many years now and as parents who care deeply about where we send our kids for academic and spiritual growth, we are pleased as to how this school is challenging them. From Mr. Clingman down to the staff, this school is dedicated to the parents who invest in the education of their kids education and dedicated to the students who attend here. Kennesaw State truly likes accepting students from NCCS due to their ACT and SAT scores. I would highly recommend NCCS to anyone who is interested.

Great school! The faculty is easy to communicate with and the school work is challenging. The small classrooms are a big plus for an optimal learning environment. This is my child's first year and compared to Public school there is a BIG difference. We feel that we have made an excellent choice for our child.

I think this school is great. The kids around me are nice. I think that some teachers should be more reasonable and nicer. The lunch money is expensive, so many people bring their lunch. The lunch is OK, but it is not the best in the world. We have great leaders, Christian values, and a godly motive at North Cobb Christian School. GO EAGLES!!!!!!

NCCS is top notch academically and it offers incredible arts and athletics. After attending this school for 13 years my children were prepared for both college and "life". NCCS also reinforced their spiritual foundation through teaching from a biblical perspective. NCCS is an incredible value and worth the investment!!

It's a sacrifice to send our children to private school but it's an investment that we never regret. We have two children at NCCS and are blown away by the education they are receiving and the love that their teachers show them every day. When our oldest transferred from public school, the amount of homework and rigor was a bit taxing but it's amazing to see how children step up to the plate when you raise your (reasonable) expectations of them and hold them accountable. The academics, extracurriculars, the sense of community. the Head of School's leadership and the love for God that my children have discovered make this a very special place to be and worth every penny of sacrifice.

I have 1 child at NCCS in middle school. My husband and I have been blessed to be able to apart of this school for 7 years. The children are nutured academically, emotionally, and most important spiritually. It truly is a family environment focused on preparing children for higher education as well as teaching Christian values.

I have 2 children at North Cobb Christian. We have been a part of this school for 7 years. I have one in middle school and one in 3rd grade. This school is exactly what we wanted for our girls. It gives them a great education but more than that , it teaches them a love for Christ. I have a 3rd daughter that will start K5 in August. We look forward to having the opportunity to partner with NCCS with all 3 of our girls.

I have a child who graduated after 9 years at North Cobb Christian, and currently have a 6th grader. This school has been a wonderful school for our children and an inspiring part of our lives. The administration and teachers are the absolute best and the sports and fine arts opportunities for these kids just makes the whole experience even better. This school is exactly what it says it is, authentic Christian education. The icing on the cake is how well prepared these kids are once they move into the higher education system!

We have a daughter in the elementary school and a son in middle school. I had no plans on submitting a rating until I read the bad reviews submitted recently. Nothing could be further from the truth! This school is EXCELLENT, Christian...100%, all throughout the day. Academics are sound and challenging. Best is how "well rounded" my children have become. The school wants each child to be challenged academically, play sports, join clubs, know Christ personally and have fun during these most formative years. My kids love it there. All of the parents I know LOVE the school! The principal is hard-working, has an open door policy and is personable. Wonderful!

I have been a parent at NCCS for 8 years and have worked at NCCS for five years. It is a privilege for my children and myself to be in an environment where Biblical principles are a priority and Christianity is stressed in all that is said and done. The school is growing and is headed in the right direction with the right leadership. We are proud to be a part of NCCS.

My two children attended NCCS. It is the only school they attended and the only school I would have ever considered after they began. I will never be able to say enough about the education they received. They were prepared for their life at college and beyond. Their teachers poured so much of themselves in to the lives of my kids and taught them so much more than just the curriculum and subject matters. My children were taught about godly character, making wise decisions, being an example to others, serving, and in this self absorbed culture we live in, they were taught to put others first, and themselves last. My husband and I often say we've never received a better return on our investment than the one we made by sending our children to NCCS.

this school has changed my life. it provided me with opportunities to discover who i am today. but it goes further...a lot of schools can do that for a growing student. however, nccs cared for me in ways i would never get anywhere else and nurtured me. it more than prepared me to finish my 4-year degree college in 3.5 years with a 3.8. even beyond that, nccs prepared me for life and taught me how to be a hard-worker, to do my best to glorify the Lord in all I do, important character values, how to truly show love and compassion, and most importantly, how to hear and follow the Lord wherever he leads. i didn't always appreciate it while i was there, but it's abundantly clear that being a part of this school was one of the most shaping and best things that has ever happened to me.

Having taught at this school for over a decade, I can say with confidence that we are good at what we do...however...we are only good at it because we have our eyes fixed on him who is good. You can see it in our mission statement or hear it in our classrooms but read it here first: everything we do starts off committed to Jesus Christ. Anything we do, whether it's teach a kid to play football, sing a song, solve an algebra problem, dance, or play the flute; we do all these things so that they might find the gift God has given them and then, in perfecting it, enter into a lifelong worship with the one gave them that gift. Academically we are very strong. Academic rigor can be tough on students but with the relationships students develop with their teachers, the rigor makes more sense in the larger context of being prepared for the "real world." We believe that rigor (and rules) without relationships breed rebellion and we walk that out in our classrooms every single day. If you're interested in an education for your child that is academically excellent and authentically Christian, you'd be hard pressed to find it anywhere else better than the way it is here!

As a pastor, I recommend North Cobb Christian School without reservation. My family has been part of NCCS for 9 years. More than an institution, NCCS is a community of families who are raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. My children are receiving a superior education, being discipled by teachers and staff, developing wonderful friendships and gaining a Biblical world-view that is equipping them for years to come. Following salvation and marriage, enrolling at NCCS is the single greatest decision my wife and I have made effecting my family and future.

Three children have been/are there for 12 yrs. Oldest graduated at top of her class and now at top of her class at major university in the SEC. Received scholarships of about 30K per year (many of her NCCS friends received similar scholarships). Not only prepared academically, but now a leader in her campus church teaching younger students to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. My other two children are on a similar path. Academically, Spiritually and Athletically we have been very pleased. Ask the school about the % of graduating seniors who receive scholarships every year! For my family it has been a tremendous sacrifice to provide this education, but worth it and would do it again. NCCS offers many Advanced Placement classes for students who plan to continue their education at major universities. My student entered college with 24 hours of college credit from AP classes. Teachers genuinely care about students and their relationship with Jesus Christ. Check out Marietta Daily Journal regarding SAT scores of students at NCCS rated highest overall for all Cobb County Private Schools.

North Cobb Christian...if you look closely you can see the word Christian. At this school I am not quite sure why its there. It should be North Cobb.I sent my kids there for quite a while and was satisfied. When my oldest child graduated from North cobb he simply was not ready for college. He struggles and did not get accepted into many colleges but was a very smart boy compared to his class.Over the years the teachers, students and other staff have really lacked leadership and ecspecially sportsmanship.Since my family has switched schools we recieve bad language and discouraging treatment.I must say that the lower school program is pretty good, beyond that ...middle school and high school don't prepare you for college and is compared to public school being better in academics.

We started looking at North Cobb Christian School about the time my daughter turned two! She's been there since kindergarten. It offers a small, friendly, nurturing environment. The school has an excellent academic rating too, with higher average SAT scores than other area private schools. Kids have a chance to succeed at NCCS (academically, athletically and otherwise) without all the distractions that occur in public school. NCCS students have loving, caring teachers and administrators there to support them. I really like the fact that the school is Christ centered and denominationally independent.

This school is truly amazing. I have been at NCCS since kindergarten! The atmosphere is great. They devote to giving good Christian educations to kids. The have an amazing fine arts program, which is very important to me. The sports programs are very good too. The one thing I do not like is that sometimes the teachers are well...ODD. I still love it just as much. I am a 7th grader and the middle school is just as good as the elementary school if not better. It is a very good school!

Graduated two students from NCCS who attended all 12 years. Accepted at top colleges in nation, prepared and performed well in college, one with 4.0 grade point and Math degree, another with Music Engineering program at Miami. Admin and staff highly dedicated. Tremendous new Head of School. Spiritual relationship and focus most important. Sports and arts programs excellent. Middle school Pathways and High School Academies programs help student identify strengths and interests and provide opportunity to explore and develop personal mission statement and life plan to pursue higher education majors and goals. This school is truly a blessing and represents what Christian Education should and can be.

The teachers at NCCS as are amazing and work very hard. The education is a plus and is Christ focused. Unfortunately, the school lacks diversity. A large portion of the students, teachers, & staff are caucasion. If you're of a different race, it is highly likely that your child will not see or learn about individuals from other races.

We've had a wonderful experience at NCCS since our first year. The teachers provide an incredibly nurturing environment and the entire atmosphere at the school is one of family. Though it's a smaller school than your local public schools, it offers nearly as many extracurricular activities for your middle/high school student: an incredible arts program, football, basketball, baseball, track & field, swimming, softball, soccer and much more. I would highly recommend NCCS to anyone considering a private Christian school.

Some of the teachers are excellent and some are awful. I agree with the previous comment thta the workload is way too hard. When we started at the school over 6 years ago, it was a great school. Something changed when the new headmaster came in. No way I can recommend this school to anyone, friend or foe. I regret that I even have to give one star.

I was not pleased with North Cobb Christian's school program. I believe the work load was too heavy and the students were given way too much work at home. I think the students should be allowed a study hall period and should not have to keep up with 8 classes.

Our experience with North Cobb Christian has been over all very positive. The school has provided an excellent acedemic program with a strong development of spiritual growth. One criticism would be that in recent years the emphasis on school logo dress codes to appeal to the elitists has gone a bit overboard.

North Cobb Christian is a valuable asset to the community of Cobb and the surrounding areas it serves. The 'family' atmosphere at the school is one like I have never experienced. The bond between the parents and teacher/admin. is reflected each and every day. They truly have a heart for the kids and achieving academic excellence. Dr. Coker has taken leadership to a new level and his vision for the school will continue to excel NCCS as an academic school of excellence offering language, fine art programs, and technology classes that no other school in the area can offer.

My daughter is entering her third yeat at NCCS and we couldn't be happier! Her teachers are very professional and challenge her in a positive, loving, Christian environment. Discipline is maintained and the kids know what is expected. I have enjoyed helping out with math mornings and reading centers in the classroom, as well as at special events. I never have to worry about her friends - all of the families I've come into contact with exhibit a strong faith. We're really excited about the new headmaster for 2005-06. My daughter will participate in the gifted program next year and the praise team, who sings at chapel each week. Spanish is being added back into the elementary curriculum. We're thrilled to have the North Atlanta School of the Arts as part of the high school. While other Christian schools are closer and/or cheaper, I can't imagine sending my children anywhere else.

NCCS is the most loving and caring school I think a child could go to. The teachers help you on everything and help you make good grades. My school offers orchestra, band and general music when you get into 4th grade. During class, the orchestra and band teachers give individual help to children who have specific needs. I love orchestra because the teacher loves to help me. It's a great school. Our school is from PreK to 12th grade. In 5th grade you start changing classes to prepare you for middle school. My school has awesome 5th grade teachers and offers study hall so you can finish your homework and prepare for a test. There is also an audition group led by Miss Johnson and Mrs. Motter called 'Aroma of Praise'. I love being in it! Everybody in the school is like a big family!

I have 3 children at North Cobb Christian and we have had a wonderful school experience for the last 5 years! We have had incredible teachers that truly care about our kids and really maintain a sweet Christian environment in the classroom. Yes, there have been some administration changes this year...and we are thrilled with the outcome and feel that God has put a great, Godly man as our new Head of School, and that our elementary Principal (formally our Assistant Principal) is perfect for her role. Parents are involved here, there are extracurricular activities and sports of all kinds, and band and orchestra are offered as early as 4th grade! We absolutely love North Cobb Christian, and you will, too. (and by the way...lunches are only silent for a few minutes, to encourage everyone to eat! After that, they have plenty of social time!)

Our family has been at NCCS for several years and we have been VERY pleased. The head of school did leave at the first of the 04/05 school year due to health issues; however we have an incredibly strong new head of school coming in to lead us into the 05/06 school year. Also, our highly capable elementary assistant principal (of several years) has become our elementary principal. The spiritual and academic integrity of NCCS has remained strong throughout the 7 years we have been at the school. There is a wide offering of programs and parental involvement is highly encouraged. The faculty and staff provide a high degree of professionalism and Christian values as they teach and guide our children. We highly recommend this school for those who are looking for a quality education along with a solid foundation for their children to impact their world for Christ.

Our child has been at this school for several years. There As far as the cafeteria, children are not allow to speak because some students have not been finishing there lunches. However, if the all the classes remain quiet then they may speak for the remaining minutes (10 mins I think). There is NOT a foreign language class for middle school as it states on the website. Also, the head of school and the elementary principal left during the school year. Unfortunately all and all, we have been disappointed in the chain of events that are occuring there.

I'm a junior at North Cobb Christian and while I love the education I get there, for it is incredible, I don't care for the administration. Our principal came in and changed everything we've always done, and he doesn't seem to be as strict on enforcing the more important rules while he stresses things like uniforms. Over all, the teachers are incredible, nice, and knowledgeable. From what I've seen, there aren't very many problems with drugs, alcohol, or other such things, though cliques can be a bit of a problem. All in all, the school is good.
