Loved this school! Graduated last year and spent my entire 14 years of education at this school. The teachers really care and I thank them for preparing me so well for college. North Cobb Christian is family to me.

I love this school!!!! My kid have been going to North Cobb Christian School for many years now and as parents who care deeply about where we send our kids for academic and spiritual growth, we are pleased as to how this school is challenging them. From Mr. Clingman down to the staff, this school is dedicated to the parents who invest in the education of their kids education and dedicated to the students who attend here. Kennesaw State truly likes accepting students from NCCS due to their ACT and SAT scores. I would highly recommend NCCS to anyone who is interested.

Great school! The faculty is easy to communicate with and the school work is challenging. The small classrooms are a big plus for an optimal learning environment. This is my child's first year and compared to Public school there is a BIG difference. We feel that we have made an excellent choice for our child.

I think this school is great. The kids around me are nice. I think that some teachers should be more reasonable and nicer. The lunch money is expensive, so many people bring their lunch. The lunch is OK, but it is not the best in the world. We have great leaders, Christian values, and a godly motive at North Cobb Christian School. GO EAGLES!!!!!!

NCCS is top notch academically and it offers incredible arts and athletics. After attending this school for 13 years my children were prepared for both college and "life". NCCS also reinforced their spiritual foundation through teaching from a biblical perspective. NCCS is an incredible value and worth the investment!!

It's a sacrifice to send our children to private school but it's an investment that we never regret. We have two children at NCCS and are blown away by the education they are receiving and the love that their teachers show them every day. When our oldest transferred from public school, the amount of homework and rigor was a bit taxing but it's amazing to see how children step up to the plate when you raise your (reasonable) expectations of them and hold them accountable. The academics, extracurriculars, the sense of community. the Head of School's leadership and the love for God that my children have discovered make this a very special place to be and worth every penny of sacrifice.

I have 1 child at NCCS in middle school. My husband and I have been blessed to be able to apart of this school for 7 years. The children are nutured academically, emotionally, and most important spiritually. It truly is a family environment focused on preparing children for higher education as well as teaching Christian values.

I have 2 children at North Cobb Christian. We have been a part of this school for 7 years. I have one in middle school and one in 3rd grade. This school is exactly what we wanted for our girls. It gives them a great education but more than that , it teaches them a love for Christ. I have a 3rd daughter that will start K5 in August. We look forward to having the opportunity to partner with NCCS with all 3 of our girls.

I have a child who graduated after 9 years at North Cobb Christian, and currently have a 6th grader. This school has been a wonderful school for our children and an inspiring part of our lives. The administration and teachers are the absolute best and the sports and fine arts opportunities for these kids just makes the whole experience even better. This school is exactly what it says it is, authentic Christian education. The icing on the cake is how well prepared these kids are once they move into the higher education system!

We have a daughter in the elementary school and a son in middle school. I had no plans on submitting a rating until I read the bad reviews submitted recently. Nothing could be further from the truth! This school is EXCELLENT, Christian...100%, all throughout the day. Academics are sound and challenging. Best is how "well rounded" my children have become. The school wants each child to be challenged academically, play sports, join clubs, know Christ personally and have fun during these most formative years. My kids love it there. All of the parents I know LOVE the school! The principal is hard-working, has an open door policy and is personable. Wonderful!

If you do not drink the kool aid at this school, then you are treated in an extremely non christian manner. It should be called North Cobb School.

Posted December 31, 2011

This school is more about the money than your childrens well being, education and certainly their Christianity. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I have been a parent at NCCS for 8 years and have worked at NCCS for five years. It is a privilege for my children and myself to be in an environment where Biblical principles are a priority and Christianity is stressed in all that is said and done. The school is growing and is headed in the right direction with the right leadership. We are proud to be a part of NCCS.

My two children attended NCCS. It is the only school they attended and the only school I would have ever considered after they began. I will never be able to say enough about the education they received. They were prepared for their life at college and beyond. Their teachers poured so much of themselves in to the lives of my kids and taught them so much more than just the curriculum and subject matters. My children were taught about godly character, making wise decisions, being an example to others, serving, and in this self absorbed culture we live in, they were taught to put others first, and themselves last. My husband and I often say we've never received a better return on our investment than the one we made by sending our children to NCCS.

this school has changed my life. it provided me with opportunities to discover who i am today. but it goes further...a lot of schools can do that for a growing student. however, nccs cared for me in ways i would never get anywhere else and nurtured me. it more than prepared me to finish my 4-year degree college in 3.5 years with a 3.8. even beyond that, nccs prepared me for life and taught me how to be a hard-worker, to do my best to glorify the Lord in all I do, important character values, how to truly show love and compassion, and most importantly, how to hear and follow the Lord wherever he leads. i didn't always appreciate it while i was there, but it's abundantly clear that being a part of this school was one of the most shaping and best things that has ever happened to me.

Having taught at this school for over a decade, I can say with confidence that we are good at what we do...however...we are only good at it because we have our eyes fixed on him who is good. You can see it in our mission statement or hear it in our classrooms but read it here first: everything we do starts off committed to Jesus Christ. Anything we do, whether it's teach a kid to play football, sing a song, solve an algebra problem, dance, or play the flute; we do all these things so that they might find the gift God has given them and then, in perfecting it, enter into a lifelong worship with the one gave them that gift. Academically we are very strong. Academic rigor can be tough on students but with the relationships students develop with their teachers, the rigor makes more sense in the larger context of being prepared for the "real world." We believe that rigor (and rules) without relationships breed rebellion and we walk that out in our classrooms every single day. If you're interested in an education for your child that is academically excellent and authentically Christian, you'd be hard pressed to find it anywhere else better than the way it is here!

As a pastor, I recommend North Cobb Christian School without reservation. My family has been part of NCCS for 9 years. More than an institution, NCCS is a community of families who are raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. My children are receiving a superior education, being discipled by teachers and staff, developing wonderful friendships and gaining a Biblical world-view that is equipping them for years to come. Following salvation and marriage, enrolling at NCCS is the single greatest decision my wife and I have made effecting my family and future.

North Cobb Christian School is special to us. Two children have graduated from NCCS and were more than prepared for college. Not only were they prepared for college, they were prepared for life. The school impacted them in such a special way. Our third child will graduate soon. There are so many opportunities for the students and the academics are challenging. We are so grateful for the years at NCCS!

Three children have been/are there for 12 yrs. Oldest graduated at top of her class and now at top of her class at major university in the SEC. Received scholarships of about 30K per year (many of her NCCS friends received similar scholarships). Not only prepared academically, but now a leader in her campus church teaching younger students to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. My other two children are on a similar path. Academically, Spiritually and Athletically we have been very pleased. Ask the school about the % of graduating seniors who receive scholarships every year! For my family it has been a tremendous sacrifice to provide this education, but worth it and would do it again. NCCS offers many Advanced Placement classes for students who plan to continue their education at major universities. My student entered college with 24 hours of college credit from AP classes. Teachers genuinely care about students and their relationship with Jesus Christ. Check out Marietta Daily Journal regarding SAT scores of students at NCCS rated highest overall for all Cobb County Private Schools.

North Cobb Christian...if you look closely you can see the word Christian. At this school I am not quite sure why its there. It should be North Cobb.I sent my kids there for quite a while and was satisfied. When my oldest child graduated from North cobb he simply was not ready for college. He struggles and did not get accepted into many colleges but was a very smart boy compared to his class.Over the years the teachers, students and other staff have really lacked leadership and ecspecially sportsmanship.Since my family has switched schools we recieve bad language and discouraging treatment.I must say that the lower school program is pretty good, beyond that ...middle school and high school don't prepare you for college and is compared to public school being better in academics.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
