We have moved frequently due to a military career and job transfers. I have raised 4 boys who have attended 4 different high schools. I typically don't write reviews but thought it would be appropriate to let you know this is the worst H.S. out of the four I have been associated with. I have left voice messages that haven't been returned, emails that gave been unanswered at times, and the treatment of students seems to be more impersonable compared to the other schools my childrewn have attended. If I could do it over, I wish i had bought a home in the neighboring school.

I am a student at KMHS. This has been my third year attending KMHS and my family and I have not been pleased with: the teachers and the results.

Ive had 1 daughter graduate from this school and 1 currently in this school. For the most part Im very happy with this school. My main complaint is the sports programs are all about money. The players who pay the most or the players whose parents volunteer the most get the most playing time. If you arent the coaches favorite then you get to sit the bench. So if you are looking for a sports school this is what you get to look forward to. If you are looking for education and tons of extra curricular classes, then this is the place for your child.

Excellent school with terrific fine arts programs. Our daughter transitioned from Mount Paran and the transition went very well. So far, excellent but challenging teachers. Have one of the top Chorus programs in Georgia which we were pleasantly surprised to discover! Large number of excellent AP classes.

I just enrolled my daughter at this school. So far so good. The open house I attendend was very nice. The staff and teachers were very friendly and inviting. I was a little hesitant with her starting a new school and all, but I know she will do fine.

I am now a freshman at KMHS and it is so much better than I have imagined!! There is soo many choices for electives and exicticular activities so no one feels left out. We have a widley known band that competed in the nationals in Indinapolis and ranked in the Elite 8. I also like that the school has many programs that helps people. For example, i participated in the Shop with a Mustang program and it was the best experience in my life. The school offers MAGNET and NJROTC, which is a high school navy program that prepares students who think they want to join the navy someday elligible to do it. Also, a big plus is KMHS has GREAT food. The teachers are also very experienced and they make you want to suceed. I reccomend the school to anyone. Hope this helps!

Kennesaw Mountain is under new principal leadership in 2007. His firm but gentle manner has won over the staff, the students and parents. Approximately 90% of the student body is involved in some activity at school. No one could ever say that KMHS doesn't offer enough for their kids. My child struggled academically, but the availability of so many opportunities encouraged him to work harder in his core classes. The electives, as well as the extracurricular activities, are many. Our nephew from another state was stunned to see what KMHS offered its students. The school opens the door to parent involvement. Its philosophy encourages parents and community, along with staff and the students to help build this young school. (only 7 years old). Athletically, nearly every sport has been highly successful...reaching state playoffs or even state championships. The fine arts programs are nationally ranked/recognized. You can't go wrong enrolling in KMHS.

I graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School last year and have just completed my Freshmen year at Georgia Tech. I feel that KMHS prepared me very well for the vigorous work demanded in college. I see many of my peers struggling because they didn't have as firm a foundation as I got from KMHS and I'm glad I went to a high school that prepared me so well.

I'm a student at KMHS and overall it's a good school. The academics are good and for the most part so are the teachers. However, with the exception of Mrs. Gunderman, the administrators are unreasonable, very rude and incapable of admitting they make mistakes. But the good at KMHS far outweighs the bad.

I am a student at KMHS. The sports programs are terrible! I left the softball team to play for a local park because I was tired of how to coaches treat the kids.

Very good. School completed in 2000. 3400+ students with cottage out building class rooms already. Wow! Never would imagine the rapid growth of NW Atlanta. Glad for schools like KMHS for our Children though.

I graduated from KMHS and I have to say that I wouldn't have gone to any other school in Cobb County. KMHS prepared me well for the college life I live today. The teachers expect the best from you and work with you to achieve it. The extracurricular activities are wonderful and numerous. The music and drama department are the best I know of. If you have a child interested in TV this is the best school. Their Video Production class is the best of its kind, with the best teacher and equipment. No matter what your child excells at (i.e.- soccer, math, history, music ect.) this school will work well for them. One day I hope my children can attend this school! - lesg

KMHS is a great High School. I have had 3 children attend there since they opened 5 years ago. The NJROTC program is a fantastic program with the best instructors and has been a great experience for all of my children. I feel my children are safe at this school due to the care and concern of the faculty and the parent involvement at the school.

I've been attending KMHS for almost three years now and enjoy everything about it. The band has now been #1 nationally, the art, music, and drama departments are excellent, and the academics in all subjects have a great group of teachers. The Magnet program along side the Academies of Information Technology, Finance, and Travel are all great reasons for students to want to come here and join some of the best evolving extracurricular activities as well as educational tracks to follow. The math department exceeds multivariable calculus and offers alternatives to students achieving a higher math class, while the science department gives a wide range of various studies, such as zoology, microbiology, anatomy, astronomy and others. The technology as well as technology classes in the school exceeds all others in the county. Literature and social sciences do not offer as many extra classes, their teachers are challenging, gifted, and helpful.
