My daugher has been attending Bullard Elementary School for the past two years. Next year my other daughter will join her. I have loved being a Bullard parent! There are so many ways to get involved and feel like you are a part of the community! They have so many things for the kids to participate in (drama, art, chess, etc) after school. The administration is very responsive to questions from parents and the teachers are truly amazing! I am an educator myself and have seen several other schools and the way that they run and I can honestly say that Bullard is the best elementary school I have seen.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Bullard. We have met and enjoyed everyone who works at Bullard from the bus drivers to the cafeteria workers, support staff, teachers and the principal. We have a new principal this year Dr. Moore, will have to update as the year progresses. If you are moving to this area with young children focus on Bullard, Frey, or Due West elementary schools, can't go wrong. Reading some of the other posts....lack of extra curricular? Are you kidding me......Big Thinkers, Art, Dance, Chess, just to name a few. Lack of diversity, why do you think we bought in this district! You buy a nice house and pay more in property taxes for a reason.

I used greatschools.net in 2004 when we relocated to the area and am so glad I included Bullard on our short list of elementary schools. One of my children has now gone K-5 at Bullard, and another is currently a 4th grader. They both have had amazing teachers, who go above and beyond, every year, and the administration and PTA are both wonderful to work with. We've had somewhat of a crisis this year with my 4th graders health, and everyone at the school has helped her, and worked with us to make sure she stayed on track. I'm very happy at Bullard and will be sad to leave next year!

I noticed 3 years back the school was getting good reviews. Proof that things change. I can honestly say after my experience there for my child that the principal is rude and uncaring if you are not to her liking. My child was treated horribly by a teacher that was pressuring him and more interested in shunning him rather than helping him. He was treated cruely by other students and they have no time at Bullard for stopping bullying nor do they even care. The principle was very hard on him and mean to my son and me. Cobb County School Board only backs their family so don't bother thinking that you will get any thing more than the same unprofessional attitudes there. The experience I had resulted in my child being discriminated against. Shame on you!! Shame on you for treating a child horribly....

After extensive research on schools in Cobb County, we chose to buy a house in the Bullard school district 2 years ago, and we have been very happy with the decision. The teachers we have worked with have been highly qualified. Our daughter always has good things to say about her school. Although there may only be a few apartment complexes in the zone, there are trailor parks zoned for Bullard, helping to add diversity to the school. Additionally, Bullard does service projects every year, supporting local less fortunate schools and children. The extensive parental involvement and the school's support of parental involvement, are a crucial part of what makes Bullard stand out from other schools. There are now some new extracurricular activities for the children to choose from, including drama and spanish, and the community of Kennesaw offers an extensive variety of sports, dance, and art classes for kids.

There are a lot of good things and bad things about Bullard - like most schools. I think some of the teachers are great and the administration is well organized. But unlike most schools: there is a great absence in extracurricular and diversity in this school. But then when I looked up the school district I realized that not 1 apartment complex is zoned for this school - the whole zoning of Bullard looks like a tic-tac-toe map. I didn't know public school were capable of picking the children's they teach. So with no real challenges and the support of upper-middle class parents - there would be no reason for Bullard to consistently make the grade.

We love this school!!!! We paid more for our house than a comp in the other school district just because of this school. We have had 3 wonderful years at Bullard. My husband and I have decided that moving into Bullard district was the best decision we have ever made!

My daughter is in the 2nd grade at Bullard. She transfered in during the middle of the school year. The teachers have been wonderful. We have finally been able to get help for a speech issue through the school after working with her old school since kindergarten. It is a mich larger school than we were used to and at times it can seem a little rigid compared to our last school but with the large # of students they have, I understand why it would be that way. My daughter loves the school and has adjusted well. The teachers have all been responsive to any issues.

Both of my children have been at Bullard since the 1st grade and they are now in the 3rd grade. We specifically moved within the city of Kennesaw to be districted for this school and unfortunately, a year later, we were rezoned for another great school, Frey. We chose to keep the kids at Bullard since they absolutely love it. The teachers are great and so are the parents. The amount of volunteers the school has says a lot about the community and the school. Great School!

The school has a safe enviroment and a warm welcome. You learn a lot and every year you meet and greet. Being Bullard helps you understand all the types of people and gets you ready for the more complicated puzzles of life. You don't have to worry about safety here or what your learns. You should worry that that they love it so much they don't want to leave. I will say the extra activites are medium. I think that they should pick things that appeal to students. Most people are friendly, but there is always that person you don't like. It's normal, friendly, school-life!Overall, pretty cool, but Middle School, oh you will have a BLAST!
My kids absolutely love going to school. We recently moved from St. Louis, and it was a very smooth transition for them.

Bullard has been an awesome learning institution for my children. We have had great teachers every year. The environment is positive and they really make learning fun for the children. In the 5 years that I have had a child at the school, it has been nothing but a positive experience for us.

Bullard is awesome! The science day fair is a chance to get the parents involved. The PTSA keeps the parents involved - its almost as if the school is run by the parents. I am hoping for some extracurricular activities for the kids.

High expectations are at all levels at Bullard. The PTSA is involved and programs are outstanding. What school has an all day science day with 150 parent/volunteers teaching science?
