As a student, I love my school. I believe that the staff is amazing. They are not rude, or mean. I saw comments about the main building... people say it's dirty, wrecked, and trashy. The staff works together to keep them CLEAN and I know the only reason they are ever dirty is because of the students trashing them. The main building is old, but it is still clean. The area of the school is great! My peers are amazing and I love the overall environment. People don't appreciate what they have here, and I guess they expect a perfect school.. It disappoints me that they complain about things that cannot be changed. I love being part of the Warrior family :).

I didn't like this school mostly because they were focused on mostly the dress code and everything else besides having the students getting better grades in their classes. Certain teachers try to write their students up for no apparent or write reasons and other teachers will just try to flunk you for the class that you're taking. I went to this school last year for the year of 2013-2014 and honestly i thought that certain teachers were actually trying to flunk me. This year i prefer K12 because it's a Online Public School and I am PROUD to be in this online school because I have A and B honor roll.

Do not take your kid to this school! You will regret it. As a student of north cobb, I promise you that. The schools administration is straight up RUDE! My parents have experienced it and I have too myself. The main building of north coob is also very dirty. The restrooms are uncleanly and just down right gross. If you don't believe me, go see for yourself. I have heard and seen so many people complain about the bathrooms and nothing has been done to fix it. I moved to georgia last year and was inrolled in the freshman academy. The teachers do not know how to teach and some of them are just so rude for no reason. So , if you want your child to have a good experience in highschool and a good education- do NOT take your child to north cobb.

The staff is very rude.. Very dirty school! I've went in the bathroom and there was a dead roach on the floor and writings on the wall. I also noticed that administration is more focused on dress code than bettering students education. Parking is 50 dollars and i don't see where the money goes into the school. No improvements, I wouldn't reccomend this school to anyone

North Cobb is one of the best schools in Georgia hands down. They offer over 10 languages to learn. They have a lot of merit , AP , & honors course. The sport are also a big deal here. I graduated from here in 2010. This school really prepared me for college beyond wonders. It's amazing that people come from bad high school. I love he school however, I don't really care about the location . I rather live in Atlanta . I'm a student a Georgia State downtown. Overall, I highly highly recommend this school. I'm proud to be a warrior ! Woot woot !

My kid can't pass the SAT even though he has a 3.3 GPA at NCHS. The counselors couldn't care less. One of his teachers told me that she gives an A or B so long as the kid sits quietly and causes no trouble. My kid almost never has homework. The teacher said 'they don't do it anyway so I stopped assigning it". WTH? What happened to challenging students to learn? When will the principal wake up and take the teachers to task? What good is a diploma if you learned nothing and can't get into college? Run away as fast as you can from NCHS!

This school is one that I would say is all talk, office staff really needs to take public relations, or maybe human relations, I say that because the customer service really is bad. I dare you to walk into one of the front offices and if a staff member is speaking with another staff member or even on the telephone You well not get noticed until they are done, not a head nod, smile, not even the one min. finger nothing at all. So you just stand there until your noticed or until you speak up.

Sportsmanship and Character!! This is the only school in our area that will Boo the opposing team and yell inappropriate remarks at the kids as they are coming out on the field. They did it when the football team entered the field and when the band marched onto the field. When North Cobbs team came onto the field, they were not met in this way. I have never been to a game where there were so many flags thrown against a team for unsportmanship conduct. Character matters as much as winning. Behavior and conduct is taught from the teachers and parents down.

North Cobb is one sided when it comes to parental concerns. The Principal and Administrator are always right. They tag team you and threaten to end the meeting if you say something that they do not like. Thank goodness my child is an honor roll student and never gets into trouble. If i had to deal with the front staff on a regular basis, we would move to another school district, home school or Private school.

I've been very happy at NCHS. Most of the staff really cares about what is best for the kids. There will always be those teachers who are just there for the paycheck but overall the staff is great. The new principal has a true open door policy and is very receptive to hearing what is going on in the school. While the school isn't the prettiest one you'll find in Cobb County it has a diverse population, a great magnet program, tons of clubs and chances for the kids to get involved, and some really great athletics. Add to that the ability to earn college credit at nearby Kennesaw State University while you are still in high school and you've got a hidden gem in NCHS.

This is my second time at entering a review the first time was for my oldest son, this is for my youngest son. My rating has gone down from last time. I can not give this school any stars. The staff is still as bad as it was two years ago when I rated the school. They only care about the kids that are smart and will look good for them, good grades and going on to college. My son does not plan on going to college so I feel that he is just an after thought. I am so glad that I have no more children that will need to go to high school because if I did I would move or put them in private school. My son hates getting up everyday to go to NC.

What an awesome administration this year. They truly care about the kids. A high school education is what your student decides to make of it. At North Cobb students have ample opportunity to succeed. Dr. Page and his admin team are on top of everything and really look out for the kids. The counsellors make sure each student has the opportunity to meet with them and plan for a successful high school career. They offer SAT prep and even take kids around on weekends to visit colleges. The magnet program is fantastic. This is the second year in a row they will be taking a group of students to China for 17 days for no more than the cost of the $1,500 airfare. Amazing. Great school.

This school has an amazing Student-Teacher Intern or Teaching as a Profession program . if this program was not set , I not be able to find my career . Rhis Teaching as a Profession program gave me the chance to work in the field along side teachers in middle school , in elementary school , along with the Special Educations department . It gives a great experience and hands on learning that most probably don't see until college years

There are many excellent teachers. Unfortunately, there are also some that don't deserve to be in a classroom. It is unfortunate when a teacher whose style and qualifications are more suited to early elementary education is allowed to frustrate classes of honors, gifted, and magnet students. It is particularly frustrating when the administration is unresponsive to repeated complaints from parents, students, and school staff about these situations. The school has suffered from several changes in leadership in the past few years. Overall, the school is average, but the magnet School for International Studies at North Cobb offers great education opportunities to challenge students that want to excel. The magnet school brings overall school performance to above average.

I am extremely disappointed. I am dealing with an issue with my child and another student at the school. As a concerned parent I wanted to deal with the issue immediately. The administrators were cold and could care less about our concerns or views . So far we are the only ones trying to get a fair resolution..they won't even call me back. We've made 3 trips so far to speak with the admins and the principal...neither knows what the other is talking about including the principal. I received no help from anyone. I was told one thing would happen but instead I got the run around and it was a totally different outcome. It doesn't seem that they are fair with the discipline and rules..it just depends on who you are talking to..no real interest in the parents concerns. I hate every aspect of this school .

North Cobb is a great school to attend. I am a junior, and I absolutely love it. The faculty is great. Our teachers are well-known throughout the community, and they are very involved with their students. This is the best school to go to if you want your child to be in a diverse environment. For the most part, everyone gets along well. There are many extra curricular activities that are worth getting involved in. Since we are the Magnet school for International Studies, students are given numerous opportunities to succeed. We always have visitors from different countries, and, because of the magnet program, a large amount of elective classes and AP classes are provided. The only downside about going to North Cobb is that whenever someone inquires where you go to school and you say 'North Cobb', you get the surprised face then a sympathetic 'ohhh'.

I'm currently attending this school and think that it is a very good school to start your kids in. The administration is great, sports, and other extracurricular activities. In a nice area which is very diverse and really safe for the most part. Wouldn't dream of going to another place. Now class of 09 and I'm going to really miss this place. A deffinate 5 stars

I'm attending North cobb and I don't like it at all. the administration is more worried about what the school looks like o others than handling issues. However, there are some very good teachers. It's very diverse and that's nice but the discipline is lacking. I don't reccomend starting a child in the school.

This will be my 3rd year at North Cobb and I absolutely LOVE North Cobb. I love the faculty. They do their job and more. They are willing to stay after school and come in before to help students with their academics. Our principal was the best because he motivated students to stay in school and to work hard. I think we had a higher attendance rate this year than we did last year. The extracurricular activities were held before and after school on different days so students could go to more than one club if they wanted to. There was a high parent envolvement as well. We had tons of students joining the honors and AP classes rather than the on level ones. The safety and discipline was extreamly well taken care of. Teachers didn't have to worry a lot about students messing around or acting out.

I am a somewhat recent graduate of North Cobb ('07), and from my experiences I think that the school is above average, has great teachers who appreciate hard work, dedication, and try to reward those who do so, as well as help them prepare for college. From my experiences, the school is also beginning to experience a more downward trend, partly due to the mental state of the students who have begun to go there, as well as the aforementioned fact that teachers are beginning to become burnt out. The principal is also implementing numerous changes, many of which are frustrating as a visiting alumnus. He wants all students to be AP students, but discourages academically linked extracurricular activities, making his budgets more in favor of the athletic departments. Definitely a good school for a student to make friends in, and begin a lucrative educational career.

All four of my children have attended North Cobb HS. They have attended from 1994 through 2008. The school has great teachers and they do a great job of preparing the students for college. All of my children have gone to college, 2 have graduated from college and 2 are currently attending. North Cobb is probably one of the most diverse high schools in the county. Students have the opportunity to experience relationships with from all cultures. This is important in developing well rounded adults.

north cobb is a great, high quality education without the pretentiousness of a lot of north atlanta schools. the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, the school enjoys a lot of racial diversity, and the staff is helpful. the principal is willing to meet one-on-one with students, as well as all the admins. the school is large enough that your student can get involved in something they really love, and make great friends to boot. the facilities are lacking, but getting better thanks to splost II.

My daughter graduated 2007. Since Principal Boling came on board, he has really made major improvements. When my daughter was a freshman, our sports teams rarely made appearances to state level competition. By her senior year, a lot of teams competed at the state level and more top athletes are being enrolled in the school. My daughter received an athletic scholarship with the support of the North Cobb administration and staff. There are really good academic programs within the school. North Cobb is a large school, but I felt that the staff and administration takes a special interest in helping the students succeed. I plan to enroll my son there when he gets to the 9th grade.

I am a senior at North Cobb this year. There are many changes that have occurred. This year's bell schedule, is insane! It is so confusing- never knowing the times alotted to a class. I think that all of the teachers I have had, are more than capable of teaching what we are there to learn. Some are also very entertaining and make classes enjoyable.

Two years ago, North Cobb was introduced to a new principal, Mr. Boling, who had many new ideas and expectations of the students as well as the faculty. At first the students were not very welcome to the new principal because of the abrupt changes he made to our school, but as the first year progessed, many students have gained a liking for him. Mr. Boling has really changed North Cobb for the better, and has provided a better and safer learing environment. Fights used to be a huge problem at North Cobb, but because of Mr. Boling, the number of outbreaks has dramatically decreased. The student moral and participation in activities and clubs has also imporved. I am looking forward to my Senior year, and I have loved the past 3 years at North Cobb. It is a great school and I am proud to be a part of it.

I am currently a senior at North Cobb. I have to say that I'm so glad that I go to NC rather than a stuck up school. People are down to earth and the teachers genuinely care. Not only do my teachers and counselor care about me, but the principal is also very friendly and helpful. The only people who complain about the school are the ones causing the trouble. Since the new principal has come, our problems with violence have decreased. His rules may sound stupid, but they help keep us safe. I love it here and I'm sad that this is my last year.

As an upcoming senior at North Cobb, I believe our school has been through a lot. While some people stayed focused on the amount of fights, which are unpreventable, they are overlooking what makes North Cobb a great school. The administration at NC is filled with friendly faces and open ears to anyone who seeks advice. Teachers for the most part are always there to help a student in need. The clubs and extracurriculars are also one of a kind. And the classmates that students will meet at NC are unforgettable. Here you will meet people that leave an impression on your heart. North Cobb will provide students with the best and most memorable 4 years of their life.

As of right now I dread going to school everyday here at North Cobb. Something needs to be done. The fighting..granted that its has gone down is still there. There is no school spirit any more. Parents never attend games and the Principal has ruined the athletic department in leting go our valuble coaches. Teachers are also burnt out, no one is excited to see you in the morning. I wish that I could say I liked going to high school because it is supposed to be some of the most fun times in your life, but North Cobb is not adding to the joys in my life. It is a scary and uncomfortable place to be everyday..Something needs to be done, and soon!!!!

I am completely discusted at the leadership of the principal and other administration at North Cobb. I have a senior and a freshman there currently. The freshman wants to transfer and my senior is discusted as well at the current direction of the school. What is supposed to be his best and most memorable year, has turned out to be his worst. The principal has desimated the athletic departments with the firing of many coaches. The fighting that goes on and the administrations lack of interest in many programs is quite evident to the majority. A change in leadership would do wonders for this school.

I would like to know what is going on with all the fights in this school. Don't these teachers and the pricipal have control or are they afraid. To date there have been 26 fights this year and it is only December. Last year there were only 5. 5 to many. And some are the teachers don't even teach these children. They give out busy work and expect these kids to know what to do. These children are our future. On the other hand the only reason my child likes to go to school is because og the music program. IT IS AWESOME! We need better qualified teachers to teach the academic classes!

I've been going to North Cobb HIgh School for the past 3 years and i can Honestly say that it is a Bad School. Students are always fighting in the hall ways and don't know how to act. For me it's a distraction for me to do my work in school because there's always something else going at NOrth Cobb. The Principle doesn't know how to control the students or any of the teachers. It's been geting worse and worse every year. There's also been drug Problems in the school and police is alweays at NORTH COBB.

The music program is amazing. All 4 music department teachers are thouroughly educated and know exactly how and what to teach. In the past 2 years we will have 7 music majors coming out of these programs and 1 that is going to college free and another who is going to juliard. The teachers are marvelous. I have only had 1-2 teachers out of around 20 that i think hurt my educational experience. Im an advanced student and the only program in the school that is lacking is the math department. The english, social studies, and science departments are very very good. I would reccomend this school to anyone as you wont find one as good in the area in my opinion.

I am a Senior at North Cobb this year and will be graduating in May. I feel that the teachers are excellent in their profession. They are willing to help every student that is willing to work in any way possible. The administration has been helpful in relaying to students the expectations and goals that has been guidelines for a strong foundation to learning. The extracurricular activities have been outstanding. The music and sports porgram have encouraged the students and myself to develop new activities to enrich our learning. The PTA and volunteer parents have provided great assistance in furthering our education. I am glad to say that I have attended North Cobb. There are no gangs or drugs; students are able to learn in a safe and clean environment.

Our son is a Freshman at North Cobb. We were originally concerned with the transition from Middle School, but the orientations and follow on 'meet the teacher' sessions have eased any concerns. We have been very impressed with the quality of teachers and their unique ability to engage our son in quality educational discussions. The school offers a wide variety of advanced classes for students at different levels. The school guidance counselors were quick to create a plan of action that suggested appropriate classes for him all the way through to his senior year. The school also offers an on-line web portal for checking your students progress . His teachers seem to be doing a great of helping those who are there to learn. Would like to see the same level of support given to football for other sports.

I have a senior and a freshman at North Cobb. I have always felt that they strive to offer quality academic programs. This year with the addition of an International Studies Program demonstrates their desire to broaden the range of studies. I have always been disappointed with the band program. I feel that the band directors are out of touch with this generation of students and the diversity of the study population. There is a lack of diversity at this school for minority studies. The current administration needs to recognize the lack of minority student involvement within other activities. Of course, the sports is dominated with black athletes, but the cheering squad is not representative. There are no 'black' counselors, and very little is done to encourage or direct students toward colleges. The attention maybe directed toward the 'honor' students, not those students who really need the assistance. Not satisfied.

We are new to the area and moved here with my job. Fall 2004 was our first semester at North Cobb High. My encounters with the schools' administration have been horrible. The staff has behaved rudely and disrespectfully in front of students. During enrollment, one staff member called us 'Transients' and said 'We know how to 'handle Transients'. Another staff member pointed out that we were 'Only Renting' in a very condescending and indignant manner. My son indicated that many students at school have problems. I suspect that this school has a lot of drug problems. His scores were lower than usual. He received two '79-C' grades. I found out after the fact, that one of his instructors had difficulty with my son 'cutting up' in class. The school never contacted me. My son has not had problems prior to attending North Cobb High perhaps because we are viewed as 'Transients'?

I am a parent of two girls and this school most certainly has a drug problem and gang problems as well. Both of my children want to move to go to another school and one has been there for three years! As for the sports programs. If you have girls, nothing is taken seriously. The local rec leagues are more competitive.

North Cobb has some of the most qualified, dedicated teachers in the County. They follow a policy of returning parent contacts within 24 hours. They work well with each other and community members to improve opportunities for students. This is an ethnically and economically diverse community with the full range of parent concern and expertise--from those who have abandoned their role as parent to those who fully support their children and their education. While no school has a perfect faculty, I have been impressed by the availability, academic expertise, commitment and compassion shown by many staff members. While the student body reflects both ends of the community's adult population---mature, immature, responsible, irresponsible, considerate, socipathic, most of these students do not suffer from the amoral acquisitiveness and criminal lack of concern for others that many students at the more homogenous and affluent schools display.

An Excellent High School, considering it is a very large school, it has more problems than a smaller school has, however the First rate Principal and staff along with the excellent teachers provide an excellent opportunity of any student willing to apply themselves. Most of the schools problems come from the students homes, from a lack of parental guidance to a lack of parental control of their child,up to and including total neglect as far as involvement in the childs education is concerned. However a dedicated parent and child can receive the Excellent benefits afforded by the total staff of North Cobb High School Administrators, teachers and coaches. Always remember? you only get out of something, exactly what you are willing to put into it. I am very proud to be both a past and present parent of a North Cobb High School Student. I am thankful to the Principal,Staff,Teachers and Coaches of North Cobb High for providing my children with both a quality education and also building great character, and providing them with the foundation they need for a great future. Sincerely, A Proud Parent and Booster for North Cobb High
