We just completed our first year and it was a very positive experience. We are looking forward to another great year at Lewis!
My child was homeschooled until now. I was very skeptical about the public school system and reluctant on registering her in one. I was convinced to give it a try and that try was Lewis. I have been extremely pleased! And, that's not easy!!!
My daughter has been going to Lewis Elementary for 4 yours. The teachers, administrators & staff are the greatest! I recommend this school.
The teachers and administrators at Lewis are awesome. All of my children had wonderful educational and fun experiences there.
all 4 of my kids have been through lewis and it has been a great experience. Caring teachers with low staff turnover & good administration.
All 4 of my children have attended Lewis since 1999. I was a wonderful school until Bullard opened and the district changed. Along with children from other areas came new teachers. Some are great , others not so much. This school DOES cater to PTSA parents as stated in another comment and many of the younger teachers are great however, they do not seem to handle behavior problems very well. We haven't had much success with help with a bullying issue from ANYONE and had to seek advice from our local authorities and contact the parents ourselves. We have one more child who will start school in 2 years and are planning a move to another school. We will have a new principal this school year, 08-09, and I DO anticipate a change for the better.
Mrs. Schumacher is a professional's professional. We too were skeptical of public education, but this wonderful school has calmed our fears. Redistricting will lower class sizes for the '09-'10 school year.
My son has been at Lewis since first grade and is now a well educated 5th grader there. The teachers and staff are what every parent hopes for, for their child. Everyone really works together, teachers, staff, parents and students to make this a truly wonderful school. There are opportunities for every level of student to grow and flourish, from special needs children to the children in the Target classes. No one is left out. I could only wish this environment for every child.
My sons attended Lewis for Kindergarten and 1st grade. Lewis is an excellent school w/ and excellent staff and wonderful parental support. I cannot say enough about Ms. Chesser, and in particular Ms. Hensarling, Mrs. Stubbs, and Mrs. Janet Wright. I wish we were still there!
I am very happy about the education my child receives at Lewis. The staff is wonderful and the parent involvement is phenomenal.
