All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness,
which includes important information like contact details and test scores.
It’s up to the school community to take the next steps.
As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families
by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers.
As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs,
and more with an Official school profile.
The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL
as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo,
and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
This is our first year at LaGrange Academy and our experience has exceeded all of my high expectations. We are in the new pre-K class and have fallen in love with Miss Sharon and Mrs. Moody. My child is learning so much - sight words, music, and even Spanish! It is a warm, nurturing environment that lends itself to a wonderful learning atmosphere. The headmaster Carl Parke and his wife Christie, along with all the staff and parents are so dynamic and forward thinking when it comes to educating children. I am so happy here and truly believe its worth the money. If you are considering this school, you won't be disappointed.

We came to this school from out of state and have not regretted our decision for one minute. Though my high school child was accustomed to a larger class size, the students and teachers here were very welcoming and helpful during the transition. It is a small school with a variety of opportunities for children to excel and for parents to be directly involved. The staff is responsive when presented with legitimate concerns and the faculty is always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate a student's special needs or interests. From elementary school all the way through high school, children are allowed to advance and are not limited by state mandated standards. The interaction between students of all ages enhances the learning experience, encourages personal accountability, and lends to the overall family feel of the school. We are all excited about the change of leadership and looking forward to becoming an even better place for our children to learn.

I found this school to be close minded. The mother's are clickish and have no room in their circle for anyone new. Which invariably that attitude trickles down to their children who mimic their parents behavior. When we were considering LaGrange Academy for our child we were told the school had a Zero Tolerance rule in effect. During the 2 yrs. our child attended problems occurred with a bully. The bully was from a family that was a top contributor/donator to the school. The faculty, staff, Mr. Walsh & Mr. Parker did not inforce the Zero Tolerance policy. Mr. Matt Walsh, the Headmaster and Mr. Charles Parker, the Dean of Students did nothing to help our child. They simply made excuses for the bully and looked the other way. Our child was a victim and was treated like an inconvience or bother. Our child was a straight A student while attending the school and teachers did not have any problems with him in class unless it was involving the bully. Our child now thrives at the local public high school and is happy. He still maintains his A average and is involved in many extracurricular activities. I do not recommend this school.

I have 5 children that have all attended LaGrange Academy. My husband and I made the decision to move our children there even though I was president of the PTA in public school. It was a decision that forever changed our lifes. It is worth the effort and money to have such a high standard of excellence, loving family environment, plus a variety of extracurricular activities to include athletics as well as fine arts. Students from K to 12th grade interact with one another on a daily basis. Parent involvement is wonderful, and the teachers are the best in the state. Academics are top priority and most students go on to pretigious and top universities with wonderful scholarship awards. I now have a daughter in the Peace Corp with a degree in Psychology, 2 in college,pre-med and pre-law. LaGrange Academy and LaGrange, GA played a major role in our childrens future.

Because of small class sizes we have found our children can move faster and receive more help when they need it. Our children are involved in music, art, drama, sports and academic teams. Their are extracurricular activities available for every childs interest and every skill level. I have never been to the school and not seen parents involved in activities. We originally thought that we would only put our children at LaGrange Academy for high school but have now moved them to the school for elementary thru high school and it was the smartest choice we have ever made.
