In Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), students attend the school in their attendance zone, called a cluster. Within each cluster, there are three to six elementary schools, one or two middle schools, and one high school. Students may also attend alternative schools or charter schools that are not in their assigned cluster.Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as “in need of improvement” have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
