MLK is a great school and i would recommend anyone to send their child to be educated there. They have a great athletic program and numerous extra-curricular activities. Their activities help children in ways to where they wont be in the streets and up to no good. Their academic program is great because the teachers are preparing the students to succeed in their lives after graduation.
Martin Luther King is a wonder High School for students to attend. Like many students school becomes boring, but the teachers are willing to help the students who are less interested in a particular core class. Teachers provide many opportunities to the students to raise there grade, because like most teacher, they do not want to see us again. In my opinion Martin Luther King is a very well rounded school , and the teachers will provide there time to us, i.e after school tutorials and much more. NO teacher wants to see a child fail, because we are all human and we have feelings. So once again i like Martin Luther King and I am very grateful for the education i have recieved in my 4-years.
I love Martin Luther King Jr. High School. Our school embodies our alta mater "I AM KING" by not only providing exceptional teachers, but constantly encouraging us to work upon to our fullest potential and not upon stereotypes. Because we are a majority black school in the Dekalb County School System, people create false things not only about our school, but about other schools in Dekalb. Our school are the region champs for high school football, state champs for girl's track and field, and not only to mention that we have an IB program that most schools dont even have.
I am a student at Martin Luther King Jr. High school and my four years of attending this school for the most part has been pleasant and isn't a hostile enviornment like others may think it is. The teachers really care whether or not the students pass and will work with the parents and students to make that student successfull in the class. MLK is a great school filled with school spirit.
I love my school. I love coming here every morning and seeing my classmates that i've been with since the eith grade. We dont have any fights and we haven't been on the news for anything termed "bad" this year. I dont know why we get such a bad rep., because we are a great school and represent the Reverand Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. with pride and dignity everydayy.
MLK is a great school. we have teachers that are willing to die for our education and we have a great set of counselors who care about the students here at MLK . Based off this website we aren't to good of a school but as a student who will graduate from here can and will stand to say schools don't get any better then this. We also have a hard working principal who's really trying to make sure that everything goes right. This is the environment that you should want your kids to be in.
Martin Luther King Jr. High school is a excellent school, and improving ever year. I've been here since 9th grade and I am currently a Senior. The football team has been superb ever since I've been here. Embarrassing Stephenson football team is a memory for me. Most teachers try their best to get their lesson plan across to students. AP teachers are definitely helpful in all aspects. Class Of 2012 I AM KING !
I am currently a senior at MLK high school. Ever since we procured our new principal (Principal Everett Patrick) the atmosphere has been extremely positive and encouraging. My teachers are all people who truly care for their students and are concerned with their well being. The behavior has also improved tremendously from previous years. We have not had not on food fight this year and I can count the number of fights we have had on one hand. As a student here I am very proud to say that I attend MLK high school and would recommend this school to many upcoming freshman.
I have been an Martin Luther King Jr High School student soon to be alumni in 2012. I've attended this school for all four years and watched this school transpire into something great. This school has came a long way between the 2009-2012 school. Many changes have been made that have become beneficial to our school future. The students of M.L.K have put the school back on the map academically and athletically, thanks to Mr. Patrick our new principal of the school he has cracked down positively to ensure an ultimate success. I am proud to say I am an M.L.K student!!!!! c/o 2012
I am a senior at MLK , my high school experience has be wonderful at MLK. Everything I heard about MLK was absolutely incorrect! We have great teachers that would do anything to help their students learn and be prepared for life after high school! We are like any other school were there will be bad seeds in the bunch, but with the help of our community they have become obsolete. WE exceed in sports as well in class rooms. We are a all around ALSOME public school.
