My daughter attended 3 schools that were not up to my our standards between the age of 1 and 2 yrs. We interviewed and visited over 20 schools in the Lithonia area prior to us finding AULA. Thank God we found them. From the Director to the cook, every adult in the building takes a profound interest in the education and social development of your child. Excellence is demonstrated in the amount of attention that is paid to each child. High achievement is a standard and manners are stressed. I wish they would extend the program beyond the 1st grade (Every child in my daughters Kidergarten class is well beyond the 2nd grade level in both reading and math).

My 3 year old son has been attending this school for a year now. He loves it! I love it! The Director (Mrs Hunt) is very hands on. She is also very caring, understanding, and patient! The teachers are the best. In one year my son is counting to 40, saying his alphabet, days of the weeks, months of the year, all of his colors, and the list goes on. they are very serious about education and the well being of the children. The director and all of the techers know all of the kids names! They also take sanitation very serious! I would recommend them to anyone. i will keep my son there until 1st grade!

I must say that this school is a God sent!!!!! The director and the teachers are concerned about the entire child. I will say that at the beginning there were small issues BUT I was impressed by the way we came together as a team and handled it. My twins are learning so much and its unbelievable because I had no idea that kids could learn so much at such an early age. Its a great thing when you find quality education services. This school is a must!!!!!!!

A Unique Learning Academy is a wonderful school. My children was attending a newly built school/daycare center in Lithonia that wasn't effective and didn't have a passion for education. The teachers at A Unique Learning Academy are dedicated to educating the whole child and the director is very kind and caring as well. My four year daughter is learning to read, spell, and math. My two year old is progressing well also; she learning how to write & spell her name, she knows her brithday, color, shapes, recognizing her numbers and counting from 1-20. If you want quality education and teachers that care I suggest this school. You will see a big turn around in your child's education and behavior!

This school is a blessing! The teachers are all very concerned about the children, both personally and academically. The director is just as concerned as the teachers. It is not hard to schedule a meeting or a phone call with either one. My son has been going to A Unique for about 3 years, and will be graduating this year. I am sorry to see him leave, because this great school will be a hard act to follow for the next.

I have two daughters attending here, with the oldest just finishing kindergarten and the youngest in the toddler room. I have had my oldest daughter there since the age of 2, starting in the Pre-K3 class. This school is superb! My daughter was learning to tell time and spelling 3 syllable words at the age of 2! She is now 5 and reads on a 3rd grade level! The school uses the A Beka curriculum, but supplements with so much additional work. The teachers are very hands-on and involved with the students' learning. Although my oldest will only have one more year left, I will be leaving the youngest there through first grade as well!

my daughter has been there since she was two and it was one of the best decisions I could have made for her. She learned phonics at 3yrs old and now at 5 is reading short books, adding and subtracting and has such a positive self image. This is a great school !! -- Dena D

My daughter attended from the age of 1 until she was 6 (1st grade). She was reading by the age of 4; and scored on the 3rd grade levels on standardized tests in the first grade. The directors and teachers are superb; and I am very disappointed that they don't go higher than 1st grade. They have a family oriented center; there is group orientation every year where new parents get to ask questions and old parents/teachers/directors answer. They are lacking in the extracurricular department, but they do have a music program.

My daughter has been going here for a year and a half now and we all love it. Their curriculum is great! My daugher started when she was 4 and she wasn't recognizing all of the letters and their sounds. Within a short time there, she was reading! The teachers take the time out to help each child individually and are really involved in their progress. I also love how they have homework 4 times a week (even in Pre-K) to ensure that the parents are involved in their academics as well. Communication is great and the staff is always so friendly. This is a really great school!

Wonderful atmosphere for a child very supportive. Learning is emphasized. And my children really love it. Some days when they don't go they say ' daddy we missed school today' thats not something you normally hear from a child. Thanks to the staff for a excellent job!!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
