The Drake School provides an excellent learning environment for our children. My oldest completed K-2nd. She performed very well on standardized tests and moved to public school with great confidence. My middle child is now in grade K. She loves it. She is so excited that she can read. She is can't get enough of school. I couldn't ask for better teachers. They are knowledgeable caring and patient. I have peace of mind knowing that my children are in a safe learning environment.

Two of my children attended The Drake School. We have since moved too far to commute, however, the founation they received at The Drake School is unparalleled. They both continue to be excellent students on the honor roll and they both have excellent citizenship! Neither have ever had disciplinary problems in school and they both genuinely want to learn. I'm convinced that has everything to do with the foundation they received at Drake. They have excellent, well-qualified teachers who are a part of ...The Village, it takes to raise our children. I would highly recommend this school to anyone seeking advice in that area. Proud Parent of two Ex-Drake School Students... Paula Y. Wilkins

I have enjoyed the Drake School. The staff is professional. And, the small classroom size give my children the extra attention that I feel is necessary. First rate teachers. The parents are a fairly close knit group, however we were welcomed into the family with ease. It would be great if they had extracurricular activities, but they don't. I recommend the Drake School to parents who want their children to have an individualized school experience. Academics, values, and character development are emphasized at this school. It is christian based. Your child can excel here. this school is good for high-achievers as well as those who may be slipping below the curve. In the end your child will have had a good experience. The most emphasized subjects here and bible study and reading. All other required subjects are covered, as well.

I really like the Drake school. My daughteris in the 3rd grade there. I really like the small class size. There are some excellent teaches there. She seem to be a head of most of the kids that go to the public schools in aour area. It was really worht the money.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
