I have worked at Stoneview for many years. I love my job, my students, my co-workers, and the admin. The parents need to start supporting the teachers and not blame us. Bring their kids on time and have them at school. It is hard for us to teach when your child comes to school 30 mins to 2 hours late or not at all. We care for the students as if they are our own. It hurts me to see these posts. We are not here to babysit we are here to TEACH, and you need to help us with that by making sure your child has their homework dine and projects completed. Attend conferences when asks, and do not take your child's word for everything, they do not always tell the whole truth, there are three sides to a story, the teachers, the child s and the truth. Even if you do not think it is true your child acts 100% different when YOU are not around, If I tell you they are doing something please believe me why would I lie on your child what do I have to gain? NOTHING. So get with the program, if you do not have a solution to the problem then you are part of the problem, come up with the solution and then we can talk. Thank you.

Stoneview is one of the worst schools in Dekalb County. I had to move my family in the middle of the year to another county, because of how unprofessional the Staff and Principals were. I went to the school to see my son's teacher and walked in on her, talking about my child in a negative way to another teacher. I could not believe what I was hearing? I went to the Principal about it and nothing was done! The Assistant Principal actually took my son out of school without my permission, put him in his car, and drove him home to my mother, without speaking to me or my mother first! I was told by the Principal that this was totally permissable? What? I found out later, with Great Assistance from my son's new school he has ADHD. Stoneview needs to learn to CARE for our children, not NEGLECT them!

There are some teachers that really care and take the time to grow with their students. I've always seen care and concern for my child. The Staff always go over and beyond to help when needed. The Administrative Team is great. except for one the assistant principals.

I am a new parent at Stoneview Elementary. I am a satisfied parent. My son loves his School. He has one of the best teachers I know who is concerned about his success. As for the Staff and the Principle anytime I visit the school the hospitality brightens my day. Thanks to the Staff at Stoneview for your continued support in developing my son to be the best he can be.

This school makes me sooo sad. The atmosphere of the entire school is negative from from the front office on down to the mean lunch ladies. I tried to be a helpful involved parent, but I can't do it by myself and I have opted to transfer my kids to another school. I wish that I had thought to look at the school prior to purchasing my home and I would not be looking to move right now. I come to the school every day and the principal has never questioned who I am. He just looks at me and continue doing whatever even when I had some major issues.

This is my children's first year at this school. I don't like this school at all. The class room size is too large and a lot of the students are not on grade level. The schools staff is not friendly or helpful. I moved here from Virginia and I was involved in all of the schools programs, but I will not do so here at this school. This school always wants money but does not show any improvement in the way things are handled. The teachers can not do their job because of the classes being over crowded and children in the class not being on their grade level. I will be moving my children from this school as soon as possible.

This school has a lot to learn about teaching children. I really do not like the way this school is run, by either the principal or most of the teachers. My child was getting straight As until they just removed her entire class from their teacher just because they felt that the student-teacher ratio wasn't high enough(1:17). So they opted, without my permission, to stick her into a classroom with 27 students in the middle of the year. Needless to say she is not doing as well. Now I am faced with the option to remove her and my whole family in the middle of the year, so that she can get a decent education.

The school is not a very good school the classrooms have to may stuedents in them and the staff is not freindly at all. My child had a teacher their the first year that was okay, this year the school have to many kids and the teachers are too old to be their. I would tell any parent to run fast from Stoneview, I took my child out after two and half weekes of school. School started 08-09-2004 on the 25th of august I took my child child out of that school, my husband tryed to tell me but I would not listen, what made me take my child out is because he came home from school one day and had no pencil to wright with i knew that morning he had 4 in his backpack, he said the teacher took the pencils and gave it to the other students because they had none.
