TJA has an excellent staff with an open door policy. All of the staff and parents are there to help. Wonderfuly warml family friendly environment. The school could use more focus on arts and music but it is small and resources are tight in those areas. The teachers do a great job of incorporating arts and music into their classrooms. Many of our students have musical interests even outside of school and still show them off in the school atmosphere whenever possible. All in all, this is an excellent school. I am extremely proud to have both of my children there.

I am a parent of 2 children in this school. One in elementary and one in high school. I am also an alumni of TJA and would not consider sending my children anywhere else. The teachers are great, the headmaster does a wonderful job and the environment is family oriented and SAFE. The same cannot be said for other schools in our area. Probably 98% of our graduates go on to college and become professionals and are well prepared for higher education.

This school is sports driven. If you have no interest in Science, the Arts or Math, this is the school for you. I will say that the majority of the teachers are very friendly. Many of the teachers are coaches. PK and K are great. If your child can make it past the 1st grade without loosing all self esteem you are a wonder parent. If you put your child in this school pull them out for the 1st grade, save yourself and your child a lot of tears. If you want your child to learn 1+2=3 for K-2nd, sign up. The math is so easy at this school that it's almost beyond belief. My child went to TJ thru 2nd.I felt like he was behind in Math so, I pulled him out.

I absolutely loved my years at TJA. I disagree with the above statement. I am at an excellent, academically top ranked college and am maintaining a GPA above a 3.5. What you put into your education is what you get out of it. The small atmosphere makes it easy to get help from your teachers whenever needed. I do agree that the science department was weak when I was there, but that has been a few years, and I understand they have gotten new teachers.

I feel that this school is too focused on sports to care about academics.(ex:football) The principal spends too much time walking the halls. You can not receive a quality education at this school. They also do not prepare you for college.
