I am truly loving Heard Elementary. After having such a negative experience at one of Macon's magnet schools, I brought my child to his home school. Don't let the the fact that our school is not as fancy nor pretty as some of the others. Our teachers are awesome and the staff really cares about our children. My child is finally being challenged and has regained that motivation he lost when attended that fine arts school. Don't be fooled by the hoopla, our school can go head to head with any of the other elementary schools in the district. I am one pleased mama. THANK YOU HEARD!!!!

Heard Elementary is an excellent school. The principal is the heart and soul of the school. She loves the kids and the kids love her. The teachers really care about the kids and make sure that they learn what is being taught. Talk about parent involvement in schools. This school has the best parents.

My son came to Heard from Northwoods Academy. He required special needs due to a speech delay. His teacher and her staff (1st grade) showed a genuine interest in helping my son suceed. Their dedication to the students shows each and every day. My son left the 1st grade a better young man due to the diligence and hard work of the Heard staff.
