I am not happy so far with Wells Primary. My son is in pre k and I constantly got phone calls reguarding my son, as well as the other parents i have spoken to. The teacher i believe needs to teach 10 year olds instead of 4 year olds.. She excepts too much from a 4 year old who has NEVER been in a class room setting. Not happy at all..

My child is in Kindergarden this year and is doing excellent as far as learning and assignments, however the amount of self control and patience the teachers expect out of a 5 year old is not realistic. Kindergarden is not supposed to be all business thats what the rest of their school career is for. My son does not like school this year and loved Pre-k alot, he is very eager to learn and interact with other children. The school should consider these children are experiencing this for the first time and it shouldnt be so tough for them. if i wanted my child to have such a strict learning experience I would have enrolled him in a private school. I wish they would lighten up on these little children.

My son attended first and second grade here. The school does a great job in introducing new ideas to promote student learning. However, if your child is like mine, quiet and reserved, he or she will be easily overlooked. Although the class sizes are small and manageable, there does not seem to be enough one on one. The teachers seem to be more concerned with the overall performance of the entire class vs the success of each individual. Be sure to communicate with the teacher often.

Mattie Wells Primary is a fantastic school full of energetic, dedicated teachers and staff who go above and beyond the call of duty.

2004 was my sons 1st grade year and it was his first year at this school. From the day of Open House I knew the teachers as a whole work to hard to educate these children. My son's teacher and I kept in constent contact and she would always inform me when his grades started to drop and what areas to work with him at home. I also noticed that from the Princapal throught the teachers and staff they tryed to keep a fun relaxed first name bases with all the children. My son will attend 2nd grade there this year and I have confidence that this upcoming year will be just as involved by myself and the school staff that I have no worry as to if my son is recieving a good education. At Wells Primary I know he is.

My child is a first grader that has really excelled this year. Because of his teacher, he reads very well fluently and with great expression. He is a genius at math, I am amazed at what she has presented and taught him. He has received numerous awards for achievement here at Wells Primary. He attended other schools for his Pre-K and kindergarten years and was never recognized for anything but a trouble due to playfulness and inattention. We love Wells Primary!
