My daughter is in kindergarten at Lockheed ES, and I'm pleased with the education she's received so far. The only issue of concern is that everyone is so dedicated to teaching other students ESOL that they have forgotten to teach Spanish as a second language. I'd like my daughter to be bilingual or trilingual too. The school is beautiful inside and out. The students are very respectful because they know that the Lockheed Jets expect respect! The faculty and staff are excellent.
Lockheed Elementary School is one of the best schools in the whole county. It is very clean, and children learn very well. They have very high expectations, and the school offers the program for 'no children left behind', Ms.McQueen was also voted teacher of the year of the whole state, I recommend this school to all your children!
The school is not diverse at all! My daughter is in kindergarden and unable to excell because they have to teach half the kids english.
Lockheed is a Leadership Academy. It's vision is to create leaders with good character, one child at a time. The teachers are incredible when it comes to daily instruction. Lockheed has a very diverse population of faculty and students who understand the meaning 'Lockheed will soar with high expections and high levels of learning for everyone everyday' That's what makes Lockheed Elementary a great school.
This is the best school ever.. Honestly. The staff really cares about all of the childrens educational needs. This is a well kept facility with a positve learning enviornment. I would not consider changing my daughters school.
My daughter is ending the 5th grade at Lockheed Elementry and I have to say she had the best 6 years at this school! They've prepared her to move on to the 6th grade. And I escpecially like how you can contact the teachers by e-mail or by cell phone. I am very proud of this school keep up the good work!
This is a very good school, it is clean, good princable, and very good teachers. Keep up the good work!
My daughter is entering 3rd grade this year, and has been at Lockheed since kindergarten. She has never been treated like a number, or just herded through her learning. Her teachers have shown great individual attention, and being able to contact them through e-mail has been an added bonus. Public schools do have their flaws, but under proper leadership and commitment to success with a strong curriculum, they can and will produce well-educated children. I support my daughter from home, spending homework and reading time with her, as well as learning activities and workbooks throught the summers. It would be extremely difficult for any child to achieve without the dedication from their parents (or parent). Lockheed, keep up the good work!
My daughter goes to Lockheed. Mrs Linkous, her 1st grade teacher notice that she was getting be hind the other kids. She made it possible for my daughter to improve her grades by taking an other route with her in teaching. I love this school the teachers really are ther for the kids and they want them to succeed.
At one point both my children have gone to Lockheed. This is an excellent school. They have met the individual needs of each of my children. The teachers are wonderful and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal and assistant principal never cease to amaze me. They are wonderful. There dedication to the kids is breath taking.
Our twins have had a wonderful kindergarten experience at Lockheed. The teachers are incredibly qualified with advanced degrees and have a gift for individualizing their instruction. We love the relatively small class sizes that includes 2 teachers, the email and cell-phone contact with teachers, and the accelerated learning programs. Best of all, our children are learning about all kinds of kids from all kinds of backgrounds and are developing leadership abilities by helping kids in their class who are new or are learning English as a scond language. We love the school!
