In the Cobb County School District (CCSD) students are assigned to a school based on where they live. Students also have the option to attend a charter school or, at the high school level, one of six magnet high schools.
Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.In Georgia your child can attend any school in the district (called intradistrict choice) or outside the district (called interdistrict choice), provided that there is space and the receiving district agrees to accept the student. Students can also attend charter schools. Special education students may be eligible for state-sponsored scholarships to attend private schools.
