The teachers. Many times it is taken for granted. Teachers are expected to do what many parents do not. They take the time and learn what each child needs and then applies endless and sometimes thankless hours into their work.
Children are not overburdened by homework. Since most of the children are performing above grade level homework does not get doled out arbitrarily. It is only specific to certain projects and when a student needs extra improvement.
The students are taught to respect themselves and others. They hare expected to dress and speak appropriately , work hard, and finish what they start and get it ready for the next person so that they pave the way for others. This establishes "ownership" which promotes positive self esteem.
At the lower levels there is an attempt to create a respect for other students. In the higher levels these attempts are phased out, probably because it is too difficult to aclimate students of a certain age from public schools to the idea of sharing, caring, and respect.
