Tara Elementary is a wonderful school! The teachers are nurturing, caring, and creative. The administrators work to establish an effective, award-winning school. Tara has been recognized by the GADOE for our academic achievement. We often say Tara Elementary is Clayton County's best kept secret. Many are not aware of the accolades and achievements we have garnered. We continue the work of school improvement and student achievement each day because our children deserve the best!
My beautiful daughter is an educator at this school! Hearing her talk about her students, I feel so blessed that I have a daughter dedicated to her career!
Wonderful students.... wonderful, fun-loving, and creative staff! What more could you ask for?
When I look at Tara, I see a caring and commited staff and children that are full of curiosity. I see a school that truly cares about the students, as a whole!
My daughter goes there, but im not a big fan of this school..I don't think ms dickinson address the fact when the teacher does something bad,if i could do better i woud'nt send my child there.
Tara Elementary is a wonderful school and has undergone tremendous improvement. The staff is hardworking and caring, even when parents are not. Programs and family oriented events and programs are scheduled often. Reading is highly emphasized; the students participate in an annual reading challenge often reading 50,000+ books! Ms. Dickerson strives to make certain high expectations are the standard among all students.
The principle not only cares about the students but the entire community. The school is surrounded by 4 apartment complexes so a lot of students may not be there the entire year. Cynthia Dickerson not only tries to make the childs experience meaningful but the parents and community as well. Fall carnivals, classes on finance and reading. Family oriented school.
