This school is great! The principal and teachers are excellent. The staff here cares about my childs education and well being. I'm proud and glad my child attends this school. I am really suprised to see negative feedback about Hazel Grove. Looking at the test scores, this school looks like its got the perfect principal and teachers in place. Thank you Hazel Grove.

This school is in need of some serious help. I have seen teachers crying in the hall in front of students because of the teachers own personal problems. The principal seems to get "rid of" teachers who are highly qualified and effective, and replace them with teachers that definitely are not. I have read many parent letters home from certain teachers, that are so grammatical incorrect that it is frightening that they are teaching our children. It is amazing how many kids are on the honor roll at this school, yet when they get to the middle school, that distinction is not repeated. The principal seems to be a people pleaser and not a leader in the school and that reflects in his staff. The lack of quality leadership is evident in the turnover rate of teachers in the building, since it is quite high for such a smaller school.

This school is great if your child is really gifted and they do not need help, however do not send your kids here if they need extra help with their work. They will not get it here. My son is smart however if he has a hard time with anything they will not help him and they give him a really hard time. my son comes home miserable every day. They also have no extra curricular activities. This school is also not well known to be inviting and friendly to parents. My son will be attending a private school next year.
