As of 2013, the school culture is degrading... no discipline, low expectations - more like a summer camp year around... Pre-K is a joke. Teachers are so soft-shelled that they have zero control of the classroom, 3 and 4 year- olds are left to entertain themselves, which often leads to unacceptable behavior. My child exhibits bad attitude, lack of obedience. I watched kids in the classroom, and such behavior is never addressed. Kids watch movies 3 to 4 times per week during their class hours because teachers are too laze to deal with them. The school cares only about the financials asking for money all the time, considering that parents are already paying tuition. Fundraisers are high pressure and the kids whose parents participate, get special treatment, such as announcing their names on the intercom. They get to attend special fundraiser participants lunches while the other kids are in classrooms. very pathetic school with no educational value. Not worth your time and money. Pastor runs the show and advances his monetary need agenda while principal stays in the shadow and has no say.

my child is bullied in K4. Teachers do nothing. Mother's day project was a white piece of paper that 3 and 4 year olds were expected to create a card from from scratch... Teachers are lazy and horribly paid. Pressure to give gifts to teachers. Go elsewhere

The school has had a rough go the last couple of years with the poor ecomomy, but is making strides for re-growth. Through it all, the staff and Administration have kept their focus on what's best for the children - growing them with Godly character. This school is like a family that truly cares about the spiritual and academic well-being of each student. They even have access to scholarships to help with tuition.

We have been at Maranatha for 7 years. Both of my children are excelling academically. The teachers and staff truly care about the students and want them to succeed. I have tutored students coming in the public schools and it only proves to me that MCA is outstanding academically and spiritually.

We have been well pleased with Maranatha. The communication between parents and teachers/administration is excellant. Academically, my child enjoys learning and is excited about many of the 'hands on' learning opportunities there. The teachers seem to truly care about the educational success of the children and go to great lengths to ensure that each child is learning. There is a great sense of school spirit as well. We feel that anyone who makes the choice to send their child here will be completely satisfied.

I love this school for my daughter. I knew that I did not want my daughter in public school because I didn't think she would get the attention she needed. The teachers at MCA really take the time to get to know each student and are genuinely interested in helping them develop strong Christian values while providing them with challenging academics and extra-curricular activities.

Our family is very happy with this school. I am very pleased with the academic level that my children are getting here. I looked for awhile to find a school that had strong academics and strong Christian base. I feel that Maranatha has exceeded what I thought I was getting. The teachers and staff at Maranatha make you feel that you are part of their family/ I believe they truly care about my children!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
