I was a graduate from Irwin County in 2004. This school prepared me for college. Now four years later, I am graduating from college and about to attend grad school. Thanks Faculty and Staff!!:)

The teachers and staff are friendly. You are sure to get a great education. I have been going to the schools here for a while and have always received equal attention as everyone else. They have a strict dress code policy that I respect but don't fully support though. This is however a good school for anyone who wishes to go here.

The quality of education I received at ICHS was wonderful and it the English department is second to none. They prepared me well for college. Racism? I saw all races treated equally. Only those that caused trouble were sent to ISS. I have all of my kids in the system and the Special Education Department is highly rated. Other systems model their special ed. departments after Irwin.

Irwin County High school is a wonderful school. I graduated from ICHS in 2003. I loved ICHS and I encourage everybody to go there. There are some outstanding teachers that prepare you well for college. I do not think that there was as much racism when I went there as there is in surrounding schools. There will always be racism wherever you go and there always will be. No place is perfect.

The school system has a bit of racism, the white kids are handled in different ways when it comes to kids with behavior problems. The black kids are very quick to be placed in alternative school. I just feel that the entire school system needs to treat all kids fairly, in and out of the classroom. I graduated from there and would never allow my kids to attend school there. Atlanta, Georgia

I think the school is overall great and has a good environment. However there are a few issues of racism and unfairness with the principals that should be tooken care of.

I think that the teachers that work here are the best they really care about the students and they show such understanding.
