There so much talk about how the teachers and/or administrators are not up to par.... But I submit to you that learning starts at home. In order for the Macon County school system to be at its best, the parents must do their part.

I have a 7th grader and a 10th grader in the Macon County school system. Although I don't believe that every single one of the teachers has the childs best interest at heart, I do believe that the principals and counselors do. My son is an outstanding athlete as well as Merit List student. My daughter is also an athlete, honor student, and involved in everything at her school. I am prould of the education that my children have received.

My son and daughter can not go to Macon County schools much longer. They are tested on items not even presented during the year. I hope the state comes in and gets rid of all of these unconcerned administrators and teachers in this system.

I have two children that has completed MCES and both of them had some very good teachers. They were very dedicated and concern with their education. The teachers are there are hard working and somethimes go over the limit to reach a child. I am proud to have let my children went to the school. Test scores doesn't represent a teacher, because some students are just not good test takers. Teachers keep up the work and we do appreciate you.

Just look at the test scores!!! This school needs a lot of work. The sad part is that it is the children who suffer from this now and in the future.
