The teachers are very involved with their students at Providence Christian School. The academic standards are quite high, but my children love going to school.

This school goes beyound the basic subjects of math, english, social studies, and science. They teach how all of those subjects are related to God and why they are important. They teach manners. Not just because it is morally correct, but because it is godly. The preschool can recite Robert Frost poetry and perform American Sign Language to almost everything they do. Just recently I heard two preschoolers comparingTchikovsky's Sleeping Beauty to another of his ballets, the Nutcracker. (Both had mice as villains.) My daughter can recite whole passages in Latan and tell me exact dates and scripture passages for Biblical and historical events. The curriculum is quite aggressive, but it is fun! Last year my daughter sand to me all of the countries of Africa. Being a godly example seems to be the priority for the teachers, headmaster, and the rest of the staff. I love this school!

I could not be happier with Providence. My daughter has adjusted well to life at this challenging classical and Christ-centered school. Every night she comes home with new ideas, new questions and excitement for learning. I am secure in knowledge that her teachers are caring and protective, while at the same time maintaining high expectations of behavior and academic performance. My son will be joining the Providence community next year, and he is excited about starting school, as a child should be. Paying the tuition (which is not as high as you might expect for such an excellent school) is a small hardship, but I can think of no better investment than my children's education.

Our girls have been in the school since it started 1.5 years ago and we truly love it. The teachers are excellent, very creative and nurturing. Providence is providing a Christ-centered education using a classical curriculum, which is very challenging but yet fun and practical. One thing we love is that the students begin Latin classes in second grade. Since they started going to Providence, our children have grown a lot academically, and they have grown in their knowledge of God who is the center of every classroom at the school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
