I would definitely recommend Westfield to anyone looking for a great education in a Christian environment for their children. I have been extremely pleased with Westfield. From the faculty and classroom teaching to the athletics and other extracurricular activities, the Westfield experience is a great one! The average SAT scores are more than 200 points above the local school system's average (as well as state and national average), and 100% of the students are accepted to college. Great AP classes too. Very thankful that my children have the opportunity to receive their education at Westfield.

I am not a student at this school nor is anyone in my family. I came to this site looking for information after three years of witnessing loutish and bullying behavior at athletic events by a portion of the student body. I see now that my perceptions have been on point. If bullying and antagonistic behavior are tolerated and even encouraged I can fully understand some of the poor ratings on this site. They are directly in line with the experiences of many visiting teams and families. Fine christian environment indeed.

I am a student at Westfield in the 2011-2012 school year! I have been going to Westfield all my life! So I know that Westfield is my home! I love the teachers, the coaches, and the challenges that are put infront of me everyday! Westfield made me who I am today and I know that the my future will be successful and rewarding because of what Westfield has taught me! This school has taught me many things that I will use for the rest of my life. I learned that with hard work you will succeed. I learned that in life there will be hard times ,but Westfield has taught me you must persevere because tommorow is a new day. You must cherish the people around you because at this school you are in a family! I thank God everyday that my parents cared about me enough to put me in Westfield! Each day is a new opportunity to create excellence! Everyday when I go home I know I accomplished something! Westfield is my home and I would not ever trade it for anything!

Westfield School is an outstanding, independent Christian school that provides an excellent education, many extracurricular activities from sports to fine arts, and does so in a nurturing, wholesome environment at every level from preschool and kindergarten, lower and middle school, to high school. Test scores are outstanding. Teachers are top notch. The Christian environment that is offered along with the strong academic standards are the primary reasons my kids are at Westfield and I would highly recommend the school.

Westfield is full of bratty ungreatful kids who judge others. They do not accept anyone from the 'outside.' As in, if you havent been going there since kindergarten. Westfield is an all around judgemental school. The staff also is slipping to meet requirements.

If you are looking for a school that focuses on educating children to go to college, that challenges students in the classroom to learn and achieve, that gives students the chance to play sports, be in a play, be in a club, etc. and be in a safe, positive and Christian environment, then send your children to Westfield. I am saddened by the last post. Westfield is a good school and is supported by many alumni. I attended Westfield from 1st - 12th grade and graduated over 20 years ago. My children are students now. I think the administration of the school provides sound leadership. Look at how well Westfield competes with the other schools -- schools that have nearly twice as many students -- in sports and academics. Is Westfield perfect? No...no school is. I have been very pleased in the seven years that I have had children there.

Knowing this school and what is going on in the administration lately, I am highly suspicious of the last '5 star' rating. This school is all about business now and not teaching children for the future. Public impression is more important than FACTS to these people in charge at Westfield and the evidence would lie in the blatantly obvious advertising/kool aid drinking style writings of the last poster. The middle and highschool students are miserable and are quickly learning that respect does not go both ways and their happiness and school spirit is unwanted. These kids cannot wait to get out of this school. They hate it. Where will this school be when none of its alum support it? Or send their kids there? For the ever increasing tuition rates, you would think that some brilliant brain up in the administration would recognize. Rethink your child's education and happiness!

Westfield is a great choice for your kids. We have a small, Christian environment where 'everybody knows everybody'. The teachers are really nice. If you don't understand the lesson of that day, he or she will go over it with you. The students are good too. We all love and encourage each other. The curriculum and enrichments are fun and creative. The curriculums let you interact and have fun while still learning. During enrichments, we have lots of fun. They include foreign language, art, music, computer, and physical education (P.E.). If you are looking at this website, consider Westfield.

8/10 years ago I would have rated 'WHS' with the highest averages possible. However, with the current administration 'The Westfield School' has quickly lost all that was uniquie and good. It went from a school with a small town family atmosphere to trying to be something it can not 'Little stratford'. The teachers and the students know what qualities they are looking for in 'WHS' but the administration has totally lost perspective. Most families remain there simply because they come from rural communities with poor quality public schools. I pray the board of trustees will get back to the qualities 'WHS' was founded on and gracefully fire the current administration and start over. Most families couldn't care less what the buildings and grounds or dress code look like, but rather how their child feel about themselves for $9,000

Not worth the tuition at this point. The administration's punishments do not fit the 'crimes'. They crack down hard on students for appearance or tardies but let them run wild and bully at will. The teachers are for the most part, loving, caringand qualified educators. However, the current administration is out of touch with the community, faculty and student body. Administration is more conserned with appearance and harrassing the students instead of making the most of their education. I feel the school could turn around and get back to what a small town private school should be with a new administration.

I completely agree with the previous post. Westfield has lost a majority of the things that made me proud to be associated with it. While Westfield has many exemplary teachers, they are seldom allowed to do their jobs without excess red tape put in place by the administration getting in the way. The administration has completely lost faith in both the faculty and student body, which, in turn have lost faith in them. Every action by both students and faculty is met with suspicion and contempt. One of the most beneficial things about such a small school is the warm, trusting, family type environment existing amongst students and faculty. Westfield may as well now have 5000 students; that environment is gone.

As a former student. I'd say that in the high a school it is not very accepting. I wouldn't reccomend anyone there. It's teachers aren't up to par and has horrible extra curricular.

I am an alum of Westfield and a parent of two current students. WHS provides the best level of academics in our area. Look at our ITBS and SAT scores. The best thing we have going for us is that we don't have to leave God at the gate. The only problem that I have with WHS is that many people involved with school leadership, parents, students, faculty, and admistration, are pompus and promote a materialistic environment and a culture of conspicuous consumption on the campus and in the social environment surrounding the school. This can be found in every area of the school, social and otherwise. Case and point, student uniforms were vetoed because so many people wanted to continue to show off their mode of attire, including teachers. Our area of greatest weakness at WHS is personal pride and vanity.

Too many people at Westfield underestimate the power of our christain environment and its effect on the students . Westftield does not only promote a great education but also self growth through their weekly assemblies with insirational speakers and the school spirit at sporting events , westfield is a great place making great leaders.

I graduated from WHS and then headed to an elite college. For me, WHS is tops! Westfield is academically challenging and pushes you to be your best. While it may be difficult for a mid-level student, for those who want to and are able to push themselves academically, Westfield cannot be topped! I would not trade my time at Westfield for any amount of money, and constantly thank my parents for the financial sacrifices they made in order to keep me there. I am so proud to be a Hornet and would recommend it to anyone!

Many parents and student take for granted the oppurtunities we have here at westfield. From our college prep classes to our christain enviorment we have a close family bond that makes the educational experience incredible. I moved from out of state and could not be happier with my attendance at westfield nor could i dream of going to highschool anywhere else . Anyone who thinks we are suffering at westfeild just needs to look at whats outside Perry ga and what other kids have to learn in

Westfield is by far not inferior to any macon school . We have students attend top notch colleges every year . Every student at westfield is gifted . Anyone who is dissipointed in our wonderful highschool should take a trip to surrounding public schools

Quality Education through the fifth grade. All down hill from there. WHS is losing more and more quality teachers every year. The board and administrtion have lost sight of what is important in education. Very sad.

I am an alumni of Westfield. I attended Westfield from K-12. The elementary program is second to none. It is truly the best in this area! Although I attended school at Westfield from K-12, I left the school feeling like an outsider. [Cliques are] alive and well in the halls of the middle school and high school.

I moved from out of state with three children. Westfield has been an excellent experience. The school has a strong extra curricular program that provides opportunity for all children to get involved. The Christian environment, small classes, and strong academic program is the backbone of the school. It is what I expect from an independent school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
