We have lived in this county for five years. The main reason we stay is because of the great school system. My husband and i have a son in the fifth grade and one thats graduated to the middle school. We love this school!Five stars!
My boys went to this School and I can't fault it at all! The staff are friendly and helpful and I just wish they could have stayed there but due to work we had to move. I'm hoping to come back to the area as soon as possible and wouldn't hesitate to put my children back into this wonderful School. They really miss being there, even with getting less homework now, and they would love to be back.
Despite the fact there are absolutly wonderful teachers at Ebeneezer elemtary and I have been lucky enough to have my son experience them, There are still major insuficientcies when it come to many of the teaching staff.
If you can afford to send your child/ren to another school, I would do so. I am pulling my children out of this school and homeschooling due to all the problems and the way they are dealt with there.
There is a new principal in place at this school. She is very friendly and out-going but is still going to keep our children safe and make sure that they are recieving a full and complete education. I love this school!
A great school begins w/solid leadership; and that is exactly what EES has sustained through it's beginning. The principal is knowledgeable concerning the academic curriculum, which she balances with her knowledge of child dev. She understands the importance of holding a good faculty and staff together, as she focuses them on the what is best for the students. She supports extra curricular activities and strives to be an encouragement to boys and girls first, and then adults. Safety first is a must @ this school and parental involvement is welcomed. W/O parental support children would not realize the importance of a good education. I personally embrace the learning environment at EES. I have learned much from this principal. I am disappointed that she chose retirement. However, I believe that the EES tradition will continue because of the strong leadership that has been in place over the pass 7 yrs.
Ebenezer is an awesome school! It is a caring, nurturing environment. A child's needs are always put first. The whole staff communicates well with the community and parents. Parent involvement is strong in this school. Parents are always welcomed, and encouraged to take part in their children's education. I wouldn't want my children anywhere else. Ebenezer Elementary is where I call HOME (Happy, Outstanding, Meaningful Education)...where your child will soar like the EAGLES!
I have had many problems at Ebenezer,Having been a Parent of four other children that attended this school It is true Blessing to be moving to a Better School Rincon! Questions are rarely answered by the Principal.Sad for the students that the system failed them.
The expectation of the childrens capabilities is low but that is a two part problem. Children can't produce at level much less at above level and teachers can't encourage it without parental support. Having said that, the administative environment is cold and gives the impression as if a parent is intruding. It becomes difficult to want to participate when made to feel as though it's only on thier terms and is one-sided. Any situations that warranted discussion are always met with 'that's our policy'. The human factor seldom if ever comes into play. The teachers are more than capable and pleasant and are eager to teach the children so dealing with the teachers one on one has proven to be the most rewarding experience. The key issue here is education, one would have to ask is this administration creating a harmonious relationship conducive to learning.
I have had the same experience in the past years I have lived here. I have 2 children that have passed through this school and one currently attending. The teachers are wonderful and do a very good job with the children. I have the same feelings about the Principal, just to add that in my opinion she should not be in an elementary atmosphere. The feeling you get when you talk to her is that, she is just faking it.
