My daughter is going into the 7th grade. She had a great 6th grade year. All of her teachers were really good and she enjoyed being in their classes. I just want everybody to know how much we are going to miss Mr. Brooks. He was always easy to talk to and he always listened.

I am pleased with the teachers here as a whole. One or two are not qualified, but are seeking their degree. Our superintendent can't stay off the bus line at the middle school and out of the bus shop long enough to make improvements for our schools. Our assistant superintendent I feel will make some greatly needed improvements. The displine here is fair. The teachers are fair. The staff is friendly and all seem to get along well. The lady that answers the phone is very nice and has my child up front so she is not late for her appointments. Jump Rope For Heart was an awesome experience for my child! Mr. Lamb is an awesome teacher!

Our middle school is awesome! My child is in the 8th grade and I have not one complaint! All through his middle school we have not had any problems. The displine is great. Mr. Faircloth was wonderful and now Mr. Brooks is too. He treats you with respect. He is a fair principal. He is honest and has good morals. His teachers have nothing but good things to say about him. The teachers there truly love their job and children. My child feels loved. He has had great middle school memories! Thanks Mr. Brooks, Mrs. Celia McGlamory, Coach Owens, Mrs.Peggy Everidge, Mrs. Sherry Lovet, and Coach Coon!

I would have given Wilcox County a high rating two or three years ago. I am very disappointed in our school system now. A teacher has to teach on 4-5 different levels in less than a hour. Who is this hurting? It is hurting our gifted group. Our low group feels like underachievers and are made fun of by their peers. How can our special-ed cordinator and superintendent know what is best? They are NEVER in the classrooms and have not been in teaching positions in years. Times have changed, children do not respect adults! We have so many classroom disruptions. I have many worries about our schools.

I have been pleased with the middle school. My child has some problems with learning. The way the students are grouped means that she doesn't have to feel like she is in competition with the smartest students. Her group is able to move at a slower pace when needed. This works better wiht all students involved. I think it is advisable to allow principals and teachers to make decisions concerning students at their school Who knows more what works? If that isn't true, the wrong people are principals and teachers.

Most teachers at Wilcox Middle School try to do a good job with the kids and help them as much as they can. Like at all schools, some teachers do a better job than others. I agree giving 20's and 25's don't say much for a teacher. This should be reviewed by the School Board. If you think this is revolting news, consider that the Sp.Ed. Coordinator is trying to do the Superintendent's job and the Superintendent is loading buses and directing traffic at the high school. Who's in charge? Parents should band together to see that our children are getting the proper education. It is time to wake up 'Board'.

At Wilcox Middle schools our kids are gettting shortchanged by not getting the help they need. They are giving kids 20's and 25's on report cards. That shows you what kind of teachers they are! What has happened to understanding and knowing every child learns diffrently and trying to get the best out of children, instead of trying to see what the lowest grade you can put on a report card. Wake up teachers, administrator, sp. ed coordinator, what is your job?
