Armuchee Elementary has a very strong school spirit and maintains old fashioned values combined with their current/advanced curriculum, which reflects in their students.

Armurchee staff and teachers are most caring and professional in Floyd County. I have had two children who have been to school their and not only do they love it but, there grades reflect the teachers ability to teach.

We enjoyed last school year so much!! However this year, I feel the school seems to be dropping the ball as my son progresses through 4th grade and prepares for 5th grade. There is a HUGE lack of communication between the teachers and parents except at IEP meetings. The teachers seem to talk a great game during parent-teacher conferences and other meetings but seem to have trouble following through.

The teachers are awesome. The administration and the teachers draw parents into the experience of educating their children. We called for a meeting to discuss a few things, and wound up in a room with all of our sons teachers and the principle. They were prepared to tell us the good the bad and the ugly without being timid. They are pros and our son is excelling in his studies and is becoming a more well rounded individual because we parents are on the same level with the teachers. This school challenges and rewards students with meaningful studies that go above and beyond the standardized tests that tie higher performers to remediated levels without leaving others in the dust. We could not be more happy.

I found the teachers to be very helpful and considerate. The office staff was amazing, and the principal and vice principal were very friendly and fair. The building is clean and orderly and the grounds are kept very nice. The curriculum is intense and well rounded with special attention paid to test preparation and special programs such as CHAMPS and 4H. Overall, I think this is an amazing school and any child would be lucky to attend.
