Rossville Elementary has been wonderful to my kids. From my senior to my 4th grader, we have loved and enjoyed the teachers and staff each and every year. Great parent involvement and teachers that really care.
We recently moved to Rossville School from another county and my child is an avg student who has never liked or disliked school, but he hates this school. At his other school they had already completed things last year and at rossville elem. and a grade level higher its 4months into the school year and they are just now getting to the place where he was at at the ending of last school year. So he and I both feel like this has been a wasted 4 months already of school. Where is my child going to level up at the end of this school year to other children in the state if the RES is this far behind.
My grandson has a problem with reading --he has not been diagnosed dyslexic but he sees things and writes them as though this could be the case. He has felt badly in the past because he has been made to feel like he was not very bright and in his words " stupid''. He began school in a Catoosa county school where focus was placed only on the kids who were excelling and little attention was paid to our concerns about his problem. His teacher at Rossville not only noticed his struggles but listened to our concerns. He has recieved additional help and is doing very well--he excels in reading comprehension and is improving his writing. He has learned that he can do many things he felt he could not and has improved self-esteem. He would have been lost in the shuffle had he not come to Rossville Elementary.
Rossville Elementary School's has been and is a blessing to the area. The caring that the teacher's as well as the other staff give the children is amazing. Thank You Rossville Elementary for being so Great.
I am a parent of a son taht attends Rossville Elem. My son used to have a hard time fiting in and didn't want to go to school that all changed when we moved to Rossville. Now he loves his classmates and can't wait to go in the morning thanks so much he has had a pretty hard life so far for a young kid, things are looking up for him now.
This is a very good school with a lot to offer. I am upset that more parents do not attend the afterschool activities and events. My daughters teachers are great and she loves the overall environment. We left Chickamauga City to get away from the 'better than thou' groups that try to run things.
My son began kindergarten at Rossville. We then moved to a Catoosa Co. school. Because of Rossville he was behind on alot of things. I have always worked with him and he has always been a smart child. Now my son will begin next year in a program for gifted children, no thanks to Rossville Elementary. The principal and staff need major improvments. I feel very sorry for the children who have to attend this school.
My son just started in this school's Pre-K program. It has been a wonderful experience for him and for us. I am so excited by his progress and I am very pleased with his teacher.
The spelling & grammer of the reviewers in Walker County could really use some help. Its understandable why children that have trouble at school have near illiterate parents. Come on people, try being more attentive and stop letting Barnie & Blues Clues raise your kids.
When my children attened Rossville Ele. i was very satisfied with their outcome. After being forced to leave the school b/c we moved, my children had to attend a new school w/ 7 weeks left until summer break. Now that my children attend a different school, I have something to compare Rossville to. I feel that Rossville Elem. could have done a better job w/my children. The teachers were great but, I think the principal could have done a better job in controlling some situations.
The school doesnt help the children. They intimdate the kids that are in pre-k and kindergarden and it is not right for 4&5 years old to be the vicyims of the teachers when they are just learning, and due to the sress they are under by the teachers they dont want to attend school.
