It's a fantastic school. We have great leadership. The teachers want to be at Willis Road because of the administration. In my opinion, we have the best elementary school in the county! It's going to be a great year.

I have 2 kids at WRE. The staff (cafe & custodians included, keep expectations high as far as behavior & learning. Awesome behavior program(EBIS) full of non-tangible rewards, praise, redirection,& conferences for consistent poor behavior situations. The RV hall(statistics) shows me that they know the community is watching and I like what I see. The monthly, school-wide newsletter includes comments regarding what each grade level is doing as well as invites for any parent to help. They even encourage parents to send in extra $ for those less fortunate to go on field trips to learn! Sp. ed. students are in many regular classes most of the day! I love this! Teachers don't appear to show favoritism with any one group.A bilingual teacher is needed since they have a balanced school regarding diversity. The PTO always asks for volunteers. Safety is important! They know it takes a pack to raise a wolf!

I have two children who attend WRES, and I am very pleased with their educational experience. The administration obviously encourages teachers to be innovative and try new approaches to teaching, and it works. Kudos to the PE dept for working so hard with and for all the children. Field Day was a blast!

Willis Rd. is an excellant school with teachers and staff who work hard at making our children the best they can be. I am a parent and am very pleased with the teachers, staff and PTO! Willis Rd. is definately a school that wants your child to succeed. The school cares about what and how our children learn and offers as much as possible and is still growing to offer more to the students. The PTO is excellant and has parents who truly want to help and make the school a great place. It takes a pack to raise a Wolf!

Unless you one of the in crowd, your child will be treated terribly. Would not recommend this school unless you have money to throw in for all of their special activities. In comparison to the NY school systems, they rate extremely poor.

I want to give my opinion of Willis Road. The principal is very involved with the school,A+. The parent participation in PTO is very low C-. Our children love to see their parents involved. For the most part teachers do care and love to teach. There are some that could use some classes on how to talk to communicate better with children. That is all I will say about that. I wish that a foreign language was offered in the public school system. Our young children are like sponges and could benefit greatly from a 2nd language. Music and Art should be offered more on a weekly basis. Nap times are a waste of time. The children could be learning...that extra music or art time. Overall I am happy with this school and teachers but parents must communicate and participate to make their childs education a success!
