I have been a parent involved in this school for the past 6 years having a 6th grader who attended 1st-5th and currently a 3rd grader. The teachers are very good but recently went through a lot of changes. The past couple years have been good, but a new principle has taken over and has decided to make alot of changes, so the future is to be forseen. The teachers are good, caring, and do the best they can. I'd advise all parents bringing their children into this school to stay involved and dont rely on the best education coming from this school unless you step up and push it at home as well.

Green Acres Elementary was a wonderful experience for both of my children. They enjoyed each school activity and couldn't wait to go to school each day. All of the teachers motivated my children to do their very best in every school subject and to work well with others. Of all of the wonderful teachers at GAES, the teacher that stands out above all is Mrs. Anthony. She always goes above and beyond the call of duty to be the finest professional that she can be. I have yet to come across another teacher that has worked with my children as well as Mrs. Anthony. Not only is Mrs. Anthony professional in her actions and judgment, her professional appearance affords her the respect that she greatly deserves. Many teachers have taken to dressing casually; not good. I recommend to all parents: ask for Mrs. Anthony when you register your child.

This is a good school when you are dealing with the teachers but when you are dealing with the rest of the personel you will not get any help. When I approached the principal about a situation that happened at the school with my kid he was more concern about the personel than with about my kid. He never took care of the situation and told me literally to go away.
