I love SES. Both of my girls have attended this school since Kindergarten and I have nothing but positive things to say. ALL of the staff get an A+ from me. All of my girls teachers have been SO involved with them. They both do very well at this school and I think it is because the teachers go the extra mile. The only bad thing I have to say is....the school only goes up to third grade, and that stinks! I wish it was a K-5 school because they are that amazing. Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Guyton, Mrs. McPherson, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Lanier, Mrs. Freeman, Mrs. Moore up front...they will forever hold a special place in my girls hearts. They want your kids to succeed here!!! The principal here is awesome too. She takes her job seriously and you can tell....wanting her students to excel.

This school is OK. The area it is in warrents it less desirable than other Henry County Schools, but the teachers there are great. My child has attended for 3 years and each year his teachers have been wonderful to work with! However, they will be quick to label your child ADHD and request them tested.

I am a parent who now resides in NC. My son entered Stockbridge Elem School after the holidays in 2003. Ms. Livernois was very attentive to the fact that the child needed to adjust to not just a new school, but a whole new STATE- when he got to Ms. Morris in Second Grade - Wow - he soared! his confidence level was built, he was treated as a student and not expected to fail, he was encouraged to keep reaching and I will never forget the care and concern Ms. Morris (and Ms. Livernois) showed to my son. He is in the 4th grade now has been soaring every since and still talks about the things Ms. Morris (2nd grade teacher) taught him. I loved this school and would recommend it to ANYONE!

Even though this school is on the needs improvement list, the staff is VERY helpful and understanding of the child's needs. They are willing to work through ANY issues you have whether with the teacher, student, parents,or whatever else. They have been very helpful and I would recommend any parent who is considering changing to a different school to take this into consideration. It is better to have a staff that listens to your and your child's needs than to fill a specific quota.
