Parents always want to blame schools because their children are not doing well. Instead of blaming someone else for your child. Take the time to speak with the teachers or the principals in the school. They are there to help you. Ask your child or teacher how you can help them improve their grades. Get them a tutot to assist. Try to particiapte in your childs education. Involve yourself once and a while in school functions, have lunch with your child. See who they are hanging with. Being new to middle school, I noticed that parents felt that the kids were grown ups and can be on their own. Don't forget they really are children and they still need to be quided in the right direction. Don't throw them to school and expect them to act like adults..

I beleive that Stockbridge Middle is a great school to attend. I have worked at this Middle School for 11 years, teachers there are great. Some of the parents are saying that this is a bad school, a parent has said the school need to let the parents get involved in the school more. A parent should come and be more active in the daily activities of there children. And stop criticizing the school, see forself whar actually happes. The parents are telling the children, "they do not have to do what he teacher tell them todo." And as for a Dutchtown students that came to our school they are very disrespectful to the teachers. I see more of Dutchtown students in the halls instead of in class since school started this year. And yes we make our boys wear there shirts tucked inside of there pants and the girls have to dress appropriate.

Stockbridge Middle has poor parent involment, extracurricular activities, and teacher quality. This school is not a good school to attend.I am also disapointted because Dutchtown Middle School students are being moved here and feel that the education is not enough to meet their standards at Stockbridge.

I am not pleased with a lot of situations at this school. The children get off the bus to late to eat breakfast, the administarators do not know the extrecurricular activities.

We've had some frustrating moments, but over all our child learned what was needed to be successful. Any of our frustrations were resolved with communication. Teachers seemed to care and the community around the school is very supportive.

My experience with SMS has not been pleasant. It's a bad environment. As for Language Arts, there's no art to it. If you're thinking of transferring your children here - do not, you will regret it.

This school needs to come up to the 21st century. There are security issues going on at the school. They teach at the lowest child's level. The teachers and administration don't keep good communication with the parents. They stress the importance of reading and don't enforce homework. I am very disappointed with the level my child is being taught at in this school. Classwork is given as homework and the children aren't allowed many opportunities to work on their own to create their own writings or projects. Science and history fair projects are only allowed to done by SAGE students because it is not a requirement of GA school system. They are rarely allowed to go on field trips and are forced to do art and home economic as an elective instead of a foreign language or study skills class. The kids are limited to participation in one team sport or

School needs to let parents be involed/know more what is going on within the school. Needs improvement: lunches, dress code, safety. Needs improvements with how bullies are handled. Web: school site and Ed-Line both need improvement. Web site for school should carry more information as what's going on. Year book sale, toy drive club meets etc. Teachers, most very good. Class size -fair to med. Still one of the better middle schools.

Great School! Very caring teachers and administrators! My daughter now attends school in NC, but often talks of the positive relationships she had at Stockbridge Middle. My daughter maintained honor roll at SMS and had a great academic team! Keep up the good work!

I think this is a great school. My son has attended here for two years. The teachers are great he plays alot of sports. We are very happy with the number of students that go here. Several other middle schools in the county are over crowded. Keep up the great work Stockbridge Middle School.
