General Ray Davis Middle School

I truly do love my school. The teachers care about what they do, they want people to learn and thrive. I love the whole team division thing. I'm not sure about the review on parental involvement, but my parents have not felt that was ever a problem. The school administration often requests that parents come in for all sorts of events! There aren't regular parent-teacher conferences, because, with each teacher having about 100 students, it's hard to do. But they will give you one if you request it, or if your child needs help. I've been to another private school in the area, and I must say, this is just as good in most areas. There are problems, I will agree with that, but it is a public school, and I believe all public schools will get some bad kids. But after going to Davis, I NEVER want to go back to private school. If you are a parent, and want a good school without paying a small fortune in tuition costs, this is totally the place for you.

I wish my son had attended Davis when these great reviews were being given. So far I have found the school lacking in communication and really reluctant for any parental involvement which is a central theme of Rockdale Countys mission. It appears to come from the leadership of the Principal and flows down. I have spoken to other parents who are disappoined with the lack of communication as well. Save up your money for private school.

Who needs private schools when you can attend GRDMS! Wonderful school, dedicated staff and a level of professionalism that is obvious from the moment you walk into the school. It has a plethora of extra-curricular activities, top notch academics and a demonstrated reciprocal respect for students and teachers. My daughter told me that her first year at Davis was her "best school year ever!"

This is a really great school. Although it is just 3 years old it has demonstrated a level of excellence that is turly remarkable. The Principal, Administrators and Teachers are all very caring and supportive. I enjoy having my daughters at General Ray Davis.

General Ray Davis Middle School is a model school. With a noticeable lack of exclusive private schools in this area, we realized that we didn't need one. Davis Middle possesses all of the fine qualities of the top North Atlanta academies -- without the huge tuition bills. The school climate is outstanding; student expectations for success are clear to everyone. The staff is highly qualified and the leadership is amazing. Academics, the arts, and athletics are present in perfect balance. What a great place to spend the day!

This s a great school. The Students however arnameclothes. The teachers and staff are great. They also have one of the top sports teams in there league. The performing arts rock to! overall its a great school

My daughter is in 7th grade this year- It has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are dedicated and the Principal is wonderful. Plus- the Performing Arts Programs is outstanding! There are many ways for the kids to connect and become a part of the family. The only thing that would make this place better- is to get more parents actively involved and interested in the programs as well.

I love DMS for my daughter. She gets some of the best education on her level there. I have been able to bear witness to my daughter blossom at DMS.

Omg this schoolis the best school you can possibly ever go to! i mean the staff are nice, the students and learning enviroment! I'm in the 7th grade now and its has been awesome so far! the teachers really take the time to make sure we get educated but they bring it to our levels with things that we are interested today like cellphones and emails and stuff like that and relate it to the subject we are talking about! It's like one big family! I wanna give a shout out to the DMS! Go Eagles!
