I use to work there as a teacher assistant and I have seen many awful things on a day to day basis. I had the worst experience there, especially because I came there for the kids. The employer and staff office were very rude and dishonest (They also swore a lot). They never compromise with the employees, they do not care about the students, and they were very greedy with their money. As a teacher assistant I was supposed to make 13.80 an hour, instead I was making 7.70. I had to resigned because not only they hustled me, they were mostly ghetto and disrespectful toward us workers.

The teaching program is phonics based and improves kids' ability to read early on. The owner is nice, but a negative for many parents is the rude office staff. Some teachers could have a better appearance and improve their attitudes. Students are not well-behaved as I expected in a private setting (due to the low parent involvement, no doubt). I elected private school because my son's b-day is after the 9/1 deadline so he was at APA PK, K and 1st and was ahead of his 2 grade class in public school Overall, I recommend APA for it's educational component and reasonable price. The kids learn!
