I was a student at Hambrick Ekementary from kindergarten to 5th grade. I believe they gave me the tools i needed to be successful not only in middle school but in life. This school provides its students with an excellent acedemic experience, and a caring set of teachers. They give you confidence, and they have a special awards program at the end of the year where every student has the chance to feel a little special. Hambrick Elementary has a wonderful reading initiative, and they give away 10 bikes to the top male and female readers in each grade. I have no complaints, and I believe that if you have elementary school age children, this is the best place to go.
I am the proud dad of two very intelligent young ladies, who have blossomed academically at Hambrick. They both started at Hambrick in kindergarten and now one is at another school ( high acheivers) and the other is in fith grade(high acheivers) at Hambrick. They have won many awards on the local and state level, with Hambrick teachers and faculty playing a tremendous part. The school may not have all the bells and wistles that some other schools have, but when it comes to what really counts(our childrens education) they are right there with the more highly touted elementary schools.
My child attended Hambrick in 2nd and 3rd grade. Hambrick has a high achiever's component in each grade beginning in 3rd. We had a very good student/teacher ratio, I love the Hambrick television/anchor set-up for morning announcements and the teachers were very good. I was pleased with the school overall.
For a public school I was very impressed with Hambrick Elementary. Great Academically, Teachers are on top of things and very cooperative with parent involvement. I just wish they had more extra curricular activities or sports for the children
As we intend for our children to attend college in the future we made the choice to send our children to private school. Hambrick does have several excellent and dedicated teachers as well as those that make us question where they received their own education. My honest advice to parents is be involved! know your child's teacher. Closely examine notes home. If the teacher is not able to use correct written and spoken english this should be a red flag! don't leave your child's education up to the school. Provide exposure to this great world around us. Read to your children and turn off the tv. Be the example for your children in all facets of daily life.
