I had the opportunity to observe this school in my Education Pre-Professional Block. I am an Early Childhood Education major from Georgia Southern University. I wanted to comment on how wonderful this school is on all levels. This school is great first and foremost on encouraging parental envolvement. I noticed every morning I was there, parents were allowed to walk his or her child to class if they chose to do so. I also am extremely impressed at the technology offered to the students within the classrooms, not only at the media center. I think the teachers are excellent teachers also. Those I particularly observed have awesome students excited about learning.

I think that Screven County Elementary is a good school that have some really good teachers. I feel that the Principal only takes the side of her teachers. I see alot of parent involvement but there can always be more.

I have 2 children in Screven County Elementary, it is a good school only because it's the only one in the area. The curiculum is okay but it could be improved, my main problems are with the motivation of a few of the Kindergarten teachers and their approach to correcting the students behavior. For your child(ren) to be successful high parent involvement is necessary.

In my opinion, Screven County Elementary School is one of the best in our area. I had the chance to view the curriculum at Windsor Forest Elementary School in Savannah,Ga, and I really was not impressed. Even though we live in a small rural area, I beleive that our school is top notch. Ida Daughtry
