This is my childs first year of attending this school. I find that she is not only able to maintain an a average, but also come home from school everyday with a huge grin on her face. I am satisfied knowing that she is making new friends. After meeting her teachers, I know that she will not only continue to make good grades, but also face new challenges in her studies. Seeing her happy everyday, I know that she is in good hands.
Currently my daughter attends TMS and we have been just as happy as we were when our son attended. Is everything perfect, NO, BUT when is anything perfect. I agree about communication but this year's PTA is working on it. I found that the more involved I am the more I know what is happening in the school.
I have a daughter that attends this school and I have found this to be a great school.
I totally agree. Tucker Middle School is horrible. Especially when it comes to parent to faculty communication. They rarely respond to Parent inquiries via phone or email. They are there just for a job, the Teachers in team 6S do not care about the students. They allow children to argue and fight. They have poor grading skills so be sure to watch them if you allow your child to go there as they often make mistakes. My child will not be going back to this ghetto school.
Tucker Middle School is not a good school. My kid goes there and often times gets bored. No communication between school and parent. The online parent portal is not used by all teachers. Seem like it is at their discretion.
My son attends Tucker Middle School and he loves this school. He is maintaining A/B average. His teachers are very involved with their students and reward the good students with positive reinforcements to encourage the not so good students to do better.
Tucker Middle School is a pile of smoking hot garbage. If you are satisfied with this school, you are not paying attention to your childs education. My child is in 6th grade. School officials told us they would be IB certified this year. Certification will not be obtained for several more years, if ever. In two of my childs core classes, the teacher simply plays videos for class every day. Further, the teacher dosn't even stay in the room while the video is being played, nor is there any time given for questions. Totally unacceptable. Theft is a problem also. When reported to staff , they do not even try to investigate. I can give many more examples of substandand practices at this school. In my opinion this school is broken beyond repair. I will at first opportunity move my child from this school.
I love Tucker Middle School I have only been there 4 a year weh I first got there I thought 'ewww I hate this school but now I love it and the day wen I was about to leave that school I was about 2 start crying because I love that school so much and I always will also if I have kids I will let them go to Tucker!!!!! I love Tucker!!
Tucker is a great school! My child is in the 8th grade having done 7th grade here. I find the teachers to be generally caring, invested and cooperative with parents. There are of course one or two that really don't belong to the teaching profession and show it. For those teachers, parents must really be involved to advocate for their children. Overall though, the administration, faculty and staff create a safe, suportive and healthy learning environment.
The teachers are conscientious, caring, adaptable, and very smart. Alot are masters and doctors in education. The school looks and feels more like a junior college, with 3 levels, and hugh gym, football field that doubles as a neighborhood jogging track and soccer field, plus a computer lab, home ec lab, and more. There's much I could say but I don't know when this little box will run out. I recommend it. My son will go to Tucker High next year and I'd say ditto to that school also.
