This school deserves better than a 5! My son loves his school & so do I.The principal holds students to high standards & I like it that way.I would recommend this school to anyone. The schools here in Carroll County are so much better than Douglas County where we moved from.

I have 2 children who attend Bay Springs Middle School and they both performed very well there. The teachers go above and beyond their normal duties to ensure the students are getting a great education. One of my children was struggling greatly in elementary school. Through the constant guidance and assistance of the wonderful teaching staff at Bay Springs, she is now excelling.

Not enough parent participation. School rules are not enforced.

Terrific School. In December Bay Springs won the County Middle School Bowl for the second time in three years. The last three years BSMS has been 1st, 2nd, and 1st again in the county academic meet.

My son just got his 8th grade CRCT scores and we are extremely happy. This year he had to take Alg I in 8th grade which proved to be a challenge. Bay Springs has served my child well.

Terrific school that all three of my children attended. I currently have a 7th grade child at the school. If a child wants to be involve there are many activities. Remediation is offered during the school day and after school

If your planning on moving to the area. Please do not send your child to this school. with the exception of a few the teachers don't care. They don't listen to your concerns I have been waiting over a month for a teacher to call about a meeting. I have raised concerns with the Principal about certain situations. Theres no help there. Please avoid the headache send your child some where else. Mine heads to a homeschooling group soon.

This school is a bright spot in the community. The school met AYP for the 2006-2007 school year. Extra-curricular activities are abundant. Bottom line, if you and your child want a good education, it is available at Bay Springs Middle School

Parents beware! I would not recommend Bay Springs to anyone! One assistant principal is very stand-offish. They do not promote parental involvement. My child had mostly A's and B's in elementary school, but struggled in 6th grade. The literature/language arts teacher and math teacher in Team A were pretty good.

A terrific school that is the pride of the community. County Academic Team Champion, County Spelling Bee Champion, Wal~Teacher of the Year from BSMS, Highest student attendance rate for county middle schools, improving its classroom technology, adding 14 new classrooms, expanding cafeteria

Our child made A's and B's throughout elementary school and is barely passing at bay springs. while some of this a lack of effort on his part, we have found the faculty to be hands off and very discouraging of parental involvement. CRCT Scores are also below average. Not Happy, considering a change.

Students do not appear very well disciplined and academics are not stressed appropriately. Doesn't appear to be enough attention given to those wanting to achieve and do well. Extracurriculars (clubs, organizations) aren't promoted to new students. Facility is nice but curriculum is limited in Carroll County, lacking culture (i.e. orchestra, advanced placement).
