The school has no leadership, noone willing to be held accountable for mistakes (which are plentiful), noone willing to take responsibility for the welfare of your child, and nothing more than an 'oh well' attitude towards parents' concerns.

Washington-Wilkes Elementary School is a Title I Distinguished School and has made AYP for 5 years in a row. The teachers there are very caring and devoted to their students. They put the needs of their students first and formost. The leadership at this school goes beyond what most principals and assistant principals have to do. They know most of the students by name and are always trying to do things that show the teachers how much they appreciate what is done on a daily basis.
