Excellent administration. Caring, motivating teachers, supportive learning environment. We love, love, love MCMS. My daughter has thrived at this school. She is involved in lots of clubs and extra curricular activities, so I'm not sure what the other reviewer was referring to. Top-notch.

I really would have expected more out of this school. My oldest daughter had a hard time adjusting to MCMS. They seem to not want to give the kids at this age much independence. There aren't many extra curricular activities available to the kids (compared to my kids' former middle school) and like what I've read from other reviews, it does appear to be very institutional. I don't necessarily blame the teachers though, I think policies need to be re-written.

Although very pretty on the outside it is a nightmare on the inside. After my son went there for 5 months I withdrew him because he was literally afraid to go to this school. It is overcrowded and the classes have way too many kids in them. The teachers are more like disciplinarians than educators. They yell at the kids and the other students bullied my child and no one did anything about it. The administration is horribe! The school is run more like a prison than a school! I am so glad I got my child out of there before his self-esteem was hurt anymore than it already was. Very disappointed in this school.

My son has just transfered to this school for the 2011-2012 school year and he is very happy. The teachers have been very patient with him and they are easily accessable. Organization appears to be in order. He has been very motivated by the classroom discussions. Although I am not able to evaluate the leadership or the parent involvement area at this time, I am very pleased with this school thus far.

This school is all about discipline and nothing else. No rewards for good academic achievement. Teachers scream at the students and show them no respect. It is also VERY boring and unchallenging if your child is bright. The teachers gang up on the students and give them silent lunch for the smallest infractions. Critical thinking is strictly prohibited in all cases. Mill Creek is more like a prison than a school.
