All 4 of my children have gone to Haleiwa. The teachers are so caring. Not only are the education of their students important but the happiness and well being as well. Each of the teachers give one on one time with their students. NO child is left behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The Principal is the most giving of all. She knows each childs name and is there for them. The family nights that she has where a dinner is served along with interesting activities that families can enjoy and drawings just highlights how much she cares about her Haleiwa Elementary School. This little school in the country has the heart of any big school. We have achieved high scores in not only math, reading, science but more important we have been rated 7th out of 258 other schools. Says alot about one small school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great school. It has so many perks about it. Not only is it filled with history and been part of the community for 140yrs, it has smaller classroom sizes than most so the kids not only get one on one attention, but they also get lots of care from the staff. Everybody seems to know everybody when you step on this campus..not like a larger school where your just a name and a face for a year until you move to the next teacher. The staff puts their heart into this school and it shows. The kids are also close with each other since it is a smaller campus and everyone is familiar with each other. It's like a big happy family. I couldn't have enrolled my children into a better school and feel completely content and safe each day I drop them off.

Caring staff and teachers, valuable one on one time between the teacher & student, low student to teacher ratio so child has greater opportunity to really learn what is being taught. The school has been part of the Haleiwa community for 140. It is a beautiful campus with a rich history. I am very pleased with this school.

Good Hawaiian studies program and computer lab. Low student/teacher ratio in lower grades. Needs more balanced education, i.e. more arts, history and science. Too focused on NCLB.
