Stuents participate in hands on learning activities as they learn about what is meaningful in their lives, using the Progressive Apporach. The school has many traditions and a history which give it a strong foundation. It's clear mission guides future decsion making. They only area that is not up to par with the excellent learning that happens is the tech program. The tech teacher is not as innovative as I would have expected at this type of school.

You could not find a school that combines a nurturing environment with a superlative education anywhere.

I go to Hanahau'oli School. It's a great school to learn at. They make learning fun at Hanahau'oli. I have a lot of fun there! It's fun because you learn by doing, and you don't learn by pictures and books. You get to go on a lot of learning trips.

Both my daughters graduated from Hanahauoli. It is very small and individualized, one classroom per grade level. some grade levels combined. Creativity encouraged. Parent involvement encouraged. Children learn to love to learning. Both my kids went on to highly accademic, competitive schools and did well. And thanked me for giving them a happy childhood at Hanahauoli

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
