Pomaikai Elementary School is a GREAT school. Staff works together and are there for the students. Students enjoy coming to school and parents feel welcomed. The Principal works well with her staff and has an open door policy for parents, community & students. The support staff works well together too. (Custodians, cafeteria, office etc.) Wonderful school!

Pomaika'i Elementary School is the BEST public school in Maui by far, hands down. The teachers in this school are excellent. They are prepared, extremely well educated, focused and caring. They focus on the whole as well as the core of knowledge. They integrate the arts programs which I feel are essential in every child's learning. They follow basic principles called pillars. They strive to excel in teaching their students in every aspect. Weather it be in academics or drama, physical education or technology, the children are well rounded in their studies. The principal is extremely caring and kindhearted yet firm when it is necessary. She runs a well maintained ship. Earing the students respect and giving respect in return.
