Terrible. The teachers (most, not all) seemed completely indifferent about if I was learning or not. The students were very violent and rude. Once, while i was studying, there were a group of people nearby, being very loud. All i did was turn around and ask nicely," would you please quiet down a bit, I need to study." and then several people were screaming at me about how I should move instead. During my one year there, after which i couldn't stand it, there were several fights, some which security did not do anything about. I'm glad I left, its the best decision i made.
Easy to understand the teachers, learn a lot, challenging projects like the senior project, and i learn a lot of knowledge to be ready for college. One of the best schools in Maui. Let's go Sabers!
very excellent advanced placement classes
i think it is a exellent skoo because it has more oppurtonities and its getting better
I learned so much about various trades and technologies at this school. Students should feel blessed to have so many opportunities that others do not have in this country
I have been teaching at Maui High School for close to nine years and I can honestly say, I wouldn't want to teach any place else! It is a great school that strives to challenge all of our different students. From those with limited English proficiency to those who are ivy league bound, we have a program for each. Don't let the negative press kid you. We are an awesome school!
I think this school should have five stars.
I am able to say honestly that the time I spent at Maui High was not time well spent. I was a part of the graduating class of 2006 and during the time I was enrolled at Maui High School they had problems with gangs, graffiti, white pride, and those are just a few of the schools problems. My mother would receive notices in the mail saying that I had missed classes even though I had been in school that day and my classmates had seen me in class! Maui High failed me during my senior year because one teacher failed to correct my homework because he was having problems with his personal life.
