this is the best public school in West Hawaii. they have the most dedicated staff and teach the whole child. Both of my daughters have excelled since beginning school here in all areas! I wish they funded the school more fairly as even though they have little money they do amazing things to help our kids become wonderful members of our community!

My child loves school, and has thrived academically and socially at Innovations. Is there anything more any parent could want??? Oh, yes, there is: Fair funding from the state. Hawaii's charter school children are provided about 50% of the funding resources available to other public school children, which is absurd. A public school child is a public school child, so why does Hawaii fund charter school children so inequitably? The Innovations teachers and administration have worked miracles with their program on $5,000 per child funding. BRAVA!

Innovations is a great school. Children are taught how to learn in a fun, meaningful and challenging way. The program includes classes with resource experts in music, art, drama and physical education. Parents are involved on many levels and enjoy being partners with the school in the education of their child.

I love this school! The parents and community have literally built it, along with the wonderful teachers. The physical structure still needs additions, like a real playground, but we just finished the new classrooms for the Fall '06 semester. Very good but fun academics, lots of music and art, and very involved parents add up to a great environment. They will be starting some new after-school activites this year whicj is exciting!

My child attended Innovations for one school year. As a parent I thought the availability of music, art, and extracurricular activities were wonderful. There were many different 'fun' things to choose from. The level of parent involvement is great! In fact, if you're not an involved parent- you will stand out like a sore thumb! The quality of acedemic programs vary greatly at Innovations. My child's class had a very poor acedemic program. It was very inconsistent and non-instructional! I was very unhappy with it. Although, I did notice that the other classes/grade levels had great acedemic programs. Some of the teachers seemed very organized, and did awesome things. Unfortunately, my child's teacher did not!
