Sacred Heart School is more than just a grade school. They prepare all students to be well educated; to be good giving and caring citizens of their community and the nation and the world. Students are taught manners and responsibility for their actions along with respect for ALL others. Though the school's students come from all walks of life they go on to be very successful at local high schools. Testing show that Sacred Hearts graduates generally excel with higher grades and less discipline problems that other students. The school is improving it's science and computer offerings on a regular basis with more planned this year. The teachers and staff truly love the students and are constantly aware of their strengths and weaknesses in order to offer the very best opportunity for them to succeed in life.

Excellent teachers who are passionate about their calling. The curriculum is advanced and the children thrive. The school invests in technology in the classroom and in its teachers by keeping them up to date with advancements in the field. The kids learn that they must respect each other and the world around them. There is a family feel to this school. Teachers, parents and staff are all members of one family striving to do what is best for the children. I placed my child here in Kindergarten. She is now in grade 7. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Great school.

What an amazing little school! We have been with Sacred Hearts School for the last five school years and love the level of learning our two children are receiving. We also have had a wonderful opportunity to be involved with the school and make wonderful changes for the growth of our children. The principal and the staff encourage parent help and really enjoy having us parents around. The education level is the best on the West Side hands down with test results to prove it. We love being apart of the SHS Ohana!

The PTG at Sacred Hearts School does so much for the morale of the teachers. They are constantly considering ways to enrich the students' experience and honor the teachers. Susan Henricks wears at least 20 hats and does amazing feats. I work there because I respect her abilities. My colleagues are dedicated. The students who walk onto the campus each day are the reason I am happy to be a part of this unique 'ohana. They are the reason to get up each morning and go to school joyfully. Thank you parents for supporting us.

As a teacher at this school, I am thoroughly impressed with the dedication and caliber of the staff, students and parents. The curriculum matches or exceeds that of the public schools. Kids thrive in this small school environment. There is a true feeling of 'ohana.' The parents are wonderful volunteers. 'Specials' classes include Hawaiiana, Music, P.E., Computers, Library, and Drama. They also have fabulous chefs in the cafeteria, who cook food that is more 'home-cooked' than 'cafeteria food.'

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
